    • Why not? Especially if you’re traveling and wish to travel light. There are lots of advantages if you’re willing to think outside the box. This is the end game. It may not be perfect right now, but make no mistake, this is where tech is headed.

    • That’s a solid point, I personally am really hoping to see a Final Cut Pro version come out for iPad Pros with iOS 11. Do you think it’s a possibility?

    • One can only hope… I think it’s a possibility, it’s all about Apple devoting the resources and seeing the need. I think Apple would be smart to release Final Cut Pro, if for no other reason than to up the credibility of the iPad.

    • good point. And as an app developer, I would finally move from my iPad Mini to an iPad Pro if they introduced Xcode as an app. No clue how the simulators would work but they could find a way.

  1. Love your videos! I wish that the iPad pro had more pro apps, like native java and HTML development or a legit CAD software. Do you think stuff like that is coming, or does it already exist and I’m not aware of it..?

    • It will take some time, but I think the iPad is destined to have all pro apps, like the ones you mentioned, eventually. The only variable is time.

  2. Great video mate! (as usual).
Question I still didn’t find the answer to in order to be able to edit my videos on my ipad pro with luma fusion:
lets say I want to make 5 titles that will appear on the same video, 5 seconds apart from each other while the old titles remain on the screen.
Because lumafusion only have 3 tracks of video, i cannot create 5 tracks of titles to go over each other. Is there a solution for this or it is another limit for the app abilities?

    • +Gadget Man interesting scenario. You are right, you are limited to three tracks. In that case, I would simply downmix the track to a single track and add it back to the project. Not pretty, more of a workaround, but it might work.

    • 9to5Mac i think u r correct, thats a good workaround! Will take awhile, but will work. Thanks Jeff

  3. I love your videos Jeff. I have the ‘15 iPad Pro 12.9”. Every one of these since you got your 10.5” has made me want to do more with it. I use it for work all the time drawing out concepts, mirrored to my AppleTV so clients can see. Then I use word and excel continually. And all the note taking. But I’ve always wanted to delve into video and photos so please keep up with the videos 🙂

  4. It would be really good if you could talk about how to get the media from your camera to the iPad. Getting video from my RX100v is a right pain. How did you get your video into Luma Fusion?

    • It’s my understanding that XAVC-S, which most Sony cameras use for high quality video, doesn’t play nice with iOS. I wonder if that still holds true with iOS 11… Otherwise, I just use the USB 3 Camera Connection Kit, or better yet, Apple’s USB3 to SD Card Adapter. I’ll have a post running down my workflow in the near future.

  5. This is great stuff, Jeff. I really enjoy all your videos, and this series comes at the right time. I have a 10.5” iPad Pro and was hoping I could find a good NLE for iOS. I discovered LumaTouch last week… and then I discovered your article where you talk about it. Thanks so much for doing these videos. Again, excellent job — I look forward to more!

  6. I use Premiere Pro just for basically speeding the video to 10 times faster and the trim the videos. Am I able to do so with this app? And does the app support videos with transparency?

    Thanks and great video!

  7. can you review the app Explain Everything? it’s a full-featured interactive whiteboard app, and it’s the best of it’s kind in my opinion
