3. Great review. Can you use this and shoot video in an underslung fashion?

   • Yes, you can. That’s what I was doing for the bench clip.

4. Does anyone make a gimbal for ipads?

5. The reason of being jelly effect while using gimbal is phone’s ois. When you are using gimbal phone’s camera is shaking because of DJI app turns off ois. But if you use your main camera app it will more stable than DJI app’s footage. And if you want to get the best result use phone which doesn’t have ois.

   • I suspect the iPhone OIS and gimbal would simply be fighting each other if you did that. The normal recommendation when using a gimbal is to switch off your camera’s OIS.

6. Actually it doesn’t perform so well when walking, at least looking at the video… I’m quite confused about it… Maybe it’s necessary to do more tests also with different video app?

8. The only movement it doesn’t smooth out is the up-down (Z-axis). It can’t, because it doesn’t have an up-down motion, in fact, you can buy the Z-axis stabiliser for it to counteract this problem. The Osmo products (and gimbals in general) are fantastic at smoothing pan and tilt movements, and removing camera shake in general.

   • Jocke Selin Sorry you are wrong. At the moment it seems that the head of the gimbal is not removable at all so you can not connect a Z-Axis accessories. Maybe I’wrong but you can’t. Second the footage seems not fluid at all. Maybe is a problem of FPS but the footage in the video, simply sucks.

   • It can’t eliminate up/down, but what it does do is smooth the jerkiness by damping the motion through tilting the gimbal head.

   • Andrea Turbolz I think you’re correct, I’ve got the Osmo+ so that’s my frame of reference, I know very little about the Osmo Mobile 2.

9. I really like what DJI have done with the Osmo line. The new one is better in many ways, as well as lighter on the wallet. Fantastic.

10. Sorry but the footage is really bad. Did you convert a 24FPS footage in 30FPS or viceversa? Which phone did you use. Orribile risults sorry

    • No, it’s all 30fps. Obviously it’s all night shots, so of course far noisier than daylight, which I think is what you’re referencing as ‘really bad’ quality, but it makes for more interesting footage than a typical cloudy London February day!

11. Problem is the footage is recorded and/or encoded with a frame rate that is not equivalent to the one that YouTube uses making them quite jerky and not at all representative of the actual smoothness any of these gimbals produce, not only DJI’s. And… where is Jeff?

    • Footage recorded and encoded at 30fps.
