    • Ash Smith, I bought one of these as well and love it. It improves the usability as well because while I have it propped up I can stick the pencil in the little circle and it’s super “grabbable!” (And yeah, you can store the cap while it’s charging..) That plus compatibility for the keyboard is exactly what I was looking for in a rear case.

  1. I still don’t understand the complaints about plugging the Apple Pencil into the lightning port. It only needs to be done once for a few seconds to pair it and never again. After that just use the included adapter to charge it with a lightning cable like any other iOS device.

    • That’s an incorrect statement. The pencil needs to be plugged in every time if you turn off Bluetooth. It’s not just a one time pairing and then never again…

    • Good call. I hadn’t encountered that yet, so I must not have needed to turn off Bluetooth in the time I’ve had my iPad.

    • olivercromwel Most People still think there is a need to turn off Bluetooth when it’s not in use, but with the new bluetooth standards the energy consumption, when not used is minimal, so that you can leave you bluetooth switched on all the time.

  2. If it didn’t have an apple pencil holder this would be the best overall case for the iPad Pro.

  3. What they don’t tell you is that none of these are prime eligible. So when your less than $20 case breaks, you can’t return it or get any of Amazon’s customer support or return policies.

  4. Problem is: This Apple Pencil holder-thingy probably doesnt allow you to stand up the tablet on the edges of the case to watch movies and stuff

  5. There is a version of this exact case without the cover so you can use the Smart Keyboard with it.

  6. how does the Apple Pencil portion affect right-handed holding of the case. how uncomfortable is it?
