  1. welcome back Jeff, enjoyed your video, the detail and presentation was 1st class, I look forward to your next video –

  2. Jeff, so good to see you back. I was wondering about the content on your “new Channel” but I’m glad your back. Between you and Fernando, 9to5Mac is in great hands.

  3. Thank god youre back Jeff! You’re the soul of this Youtube account. I really couldn’t watch the other new staff not gonna lie

  4. Great to have you back Jeff. Honestly, I fail to see that this security feature is an improvement for users, it means we always have to have one of these keys on our person “just in case”, seems like a backwards step.

    • It allows you to have full control of the private key used for encryption. Prior to this implementation Apple holds the private keys used for encryption meaning they can access your encrypted data. This is for people who are storing sensitive data on iCloud and need to have the reassurance that only they can access it.

  5. Thank you for the confirmation that YubiKey less expensive keys (blue) work too. I wonder why Apple highlights both more expensive ones (black) in its support pages.
Also, may you cover the case of a third key shared by family members (in a bank vault) as an extreme security measures (wondering if Apple authorized shared).

  6. JEFF BENJAMIN!! Brooo I’ve followed you since I first jailbroke my iPhone 5. It’s been amazing to see you in different places over the years. I’m delighted that you’re still doing this type of coverage
