Wait, I thought they got rid of the bezel when they deleted the home button. I guess there’s like maybe a millimeter of black around my mini 12, but seriously who cares, in dark mode it’s practically invisible. How about making the speakers sound better, that’d be an actual upgrade.
Periscope is the main draw for me.
I really dislike curved screens as they are a horror story for screen protectors. I know some people don’t use a screen protector. But I think they are essential on the aluminum Apple Watch with its incredibly scratchable glass screen. And once I scratch my iPhone screen, I can never unsee that scratch.
i used to think that way. i wanted to placed tempered on curved screen to protect it but its so hard to find curved tempered glass that is afforadable and one that really sticks to the screen. but i realized anyphone with curved gorilla glass 5 and victus doesnt need tempered glass. i dropped my note 20u at about 4.5 feet screen on the ground and it didnt break. it does have scratches on the film protector but it didn lt cracked or scratches the screen not even single scratch. im so impressed i thought id be needing to spend money to fix screen or buy new phone. also accidental touches was never issue for me on curved screen it doent happen to me all the time. it only happens when i try to use the phone with one hand and while trying to do hand gymnastics on the phone reaching top or bottom with one hand. but yeah i dont know why people complain about accidental touches its not like we cant use the screen. that happens to me maybe once in 5mos never got irritated about it
I agree, I’m not a huge fan of the curved screen. But who knows, maybe apple will implement it a bit better and finally fix accidental palm touching
@Jael 41 just use fibre glass. Bit expensive initially but pays off fantastically. I use that on my curved display without having yo change it for about a year
15 Ultra is gonna make everything more confusing
Apple should go back to only releasing 2 phones per year. They should do the “regular” iPhones one year and then the pro iPhones the next year
I hope we’re not going back to the design of the 10,11,12 with the rounded edges. I love the flat look.

Well, I loved the curved feel. I recall when I got my 12 Pro, while it looked good it felt worse to hold and operate. I still miss the 11.

The Apple Watch isn’t a handheld device. The iPhone is. If the curved edge on the iPhone 15 is touch sensitive, it could prove to be an unmitigated disaster. Imagine how annoying that would be. (I was at the launch of the original iPhone at Moscone West.)
Basically no one actually knows what the next iPhone will look like, just like the failed predictions of the previous iPhones and watches.

I don’t think they should change the design much because I think they nailed it with flat edges and everything.Don’t change it just for the sake of changing.
Dude they really gotta do something about the PWM in their displays cause I haven’t been able to upgrade since the 11 because they stopped using LCD displays and OLED gives me seizures.
I wish they made a mini pro or a pro with a smaller camera
I really hope they’ll be doing a 6.1” ultra , not just the pro max size. But I got a feeling it will only be the 6.7”
The ultra is only a name change for the max, that’s literally all.
@Joseph Pepe well I keep hearing the ultra will only be in 6.7”because of the periscope camera. The 6.1” is not big enough for that.

Curved screens seem so troublesome for cases… having to cover up more of the screen edge for the case to hold on… potentially covering up areas that need to be touched for function.
Curved screens are terrible. I don’t know why they are bringing them to the new Iphone.
In Samsung curved displays, the curved edges appear a bit darker than the display in the middle part. It’s one of the reasons I switched to Iphone. My guess is that having a curved display allows for smaller bezels.
