    • I’m just disappointed I waited for over a year (did not buy first version) hoping for something more, specifically water/sweat resistance as my primary use is expected to be for workouts. Though the incremental increase in performance is nice, it was a long time coming. I also think the wireless charging should have been included at the original price as the only option, to at least make customers feel like they were worth the wait (and I don’t even think wireless charging is important). Couldn’t care less about “Hey Siri” If I had the first version, there is no way I would spend the money on the new version.

  1. Sold my first gen AirPods for 90$ bought this yesterday and .. yeah am enjoying the and free Siri and the wireless charging. Noticed also that is a bit faster to connect it to my Apple Watch and switch to the phone.

  2. I feel that this was definitely not a 2nd generation product. More like an Airpods 1.5.

Waiting for more info on the truly wireless Beats!

  3. I did not purchase the original AirPods. However, because of the inclusion of hands-free Hey Siri functionality I have purchased AirPods 2.

  4. My airpods 2 sound way better than my gen 1, probably because the lack of gunk and brand new battery as they’re 2 years old

    • Unclejerry50th Apple themselves confirmed the sound quality is exactly the same. So yeah. I can have better sound with 5 mins of cleaning with my gen1s

  5. I just got the airpods 2 but without wireless charging because these are my first pair. I didn’t feel I needed the wireless charging anyway. Cord charging is always faster.

  6. I’ll upgrade when they add more rap options. I always have Siri as one of my tap functions…so I guess the hands free Siri does open up another pod for tapping. I don’t know. I still want more tap options.

  7. I just want to say – thank you for the not saying “hey siri” in these reviews. I have devices that get triggered when other reviewers just blurt it out. Or, worse, commercials that are clearly designed to trigger Siri, Google, or Alexa.
