I’m holding out for 7K
Me? 7.6k or bust.
You are better off holding out for 9K because that is dividable by 3.
But if it doesnt have 600hz Ultra Nano (Pico) Quantum TLED with TrueTone (3rd gen) and HyperBeast then it just ain’t worth it.
I have waited over two decates for the perfect display, and during this time I’ve lost a lot of hair. If the right monitor doesn’t come out by the time I lose all of it (still got a few straws left) then, I’m out.
+NoBigDeal I just LOL! Nice…
People see a new video:
fIrSt!!111!!!!!1!
6K, over 23 million pixels gonna run you 6K lol
I’m already standing in queue for this one!
I know that display will be super expensive
It’s gonna be expensive af
I will keep the 4K I just purchased last year for 7 more rears
Mr. Taylor honestly that works just fine. You’ll be okay for about 5 more years.
Take the PPI of the 27″ 5k screen and make this larger to 31,5 and that’s most likely the amount of pixels you’ll get on the new screen. Apple keeps PPI and adjusts the amount of pixels vertically and horizontally after that.
How wants a new hackintosh video?
Mike van Asselt what?
Will thunderbolt 4 be available in time for this display and the modular Mac? If Apple is considering a future move to their own ARM-based processors for Mac what will that mean for Thunderbolt support, being its a Intel-only technology.
Dumb idea. The display can be configurable with a GPU that runs like an EGPU making it “the perfect companion to a MacBook Pro”
Not sure if it would be a big upgrade from 5k2k LG at 34 inches. Perhaps I’ll wait for your actual review when it comes out.
6k$ for a a 6k pixel screen
I paid just 2.5k for 8K. Almost a steal.
What is going to power this display? I mean what Apple computer will connect to this display and have fantastic performance at that resolution for anything that isn’t simple (gpu) tasks?
Anyway, I can’t say I care for this monitor if it is going to be expensive. Years and years of purchasing monitors have taught me that unless I have a very very specific reason to buy an expensive monitor, any monitor that costs over 1000 euros/dollars is simply not worth it to me.
The 3000 dollars you mention, if accurate, is laughable. Again, for me.
Monitors lose their value very fast.
Now, if you say 3000 including a very good specced iMac, then ok.
I’m already running a 5k + 4k screen off just one macbook pro 15”, and thats without an eGPU, and I’m a developer and graphic designer and i have 0 issues. I don’t see why 6k would be harder than that.
Thank you for your input.
I say 10k screen or nothing. Lol I want to edit from the moon
Scott Doherty – lol
6K at 60fps can’t be handled by one thunderbolt 3 cable. Also a new monitor by Apple will be at least 120fps to be future-proof, 60fps is an old technology, then we will see a new type of bus. Next Displayport standard needs about 65Gbit/s for 8K at 60Hz 8bit per pixel, then at 6K 120Hz 10 bit per pixels can’t be handled neither by DP (more than 80 Gbit/s). Probably Apple will adopt the display stream compression using the HDMI 2.1 standard or 2 thunderbolt 3 inputs.
I want the 6K display, thank you.
I want to win
You know that display will be more then 1,300 that’s for sure but I’m looking forward to seeing what they do with both the display and the Mac Pro Those 2 items on on my wish list for sure LOL.
