4. I own several versions of Tile and I don’t feel one bit of bad for them. Tile has an awful app with a persistent and annoying popup window that nags you to buy a premium subscription every time you open the app. The hardware is okay but I expect Apple to give them a good run for the money.

   • Meh. Already got bunch of tile devices. 99% of the time it’s just forgot location of stuff in my house. I’m getting 200-400ft range with tile. Airtags are less than 50ft range. Miles barely got 20-30ft.

   • @anekinoo7 crowdsourcing works better with airtag – tile crowdsourcing is garbage.

   • @Joseph Dawson when Tile works, it’s great, but it’s inconsistent @ best. Find My is better integrated…

   • @john arcarese I had tiles for 3 years. 99% of the time it’s just looking for stuff at my house. The few time I left my keys inside work. It already show last location. One of the key feature from tile I use most often is the button to ring my Phone. Plenty of times where I left my phone in my rooms, outside or even in the car. It’s something that airtag doesn’t have. Don’t expect airtags find me as a gps locator for lost/stolen item when it’s not. Personal range has more benefits. With 50ft, cutting down to 20-30ft with interference. It’s garbage.

   • @anekinoo7 I had tiles for just as long a time as you have and I found them to be lacking. Unreliable performance is a hallmark of tile.

     Agreed that certain specifications of the air tags don’t match tile but where air tags is superior thus far is their consistency and:

     1. the crowdsourcing function of air tag is clearly superior to tile.

     2. Precision Finding – tile has nothing to compete.

     If you’re trying to locate your iPhone, Siri works just as well for that purpose, “hey Siri, where are you? “

   • Maps have built in park car location. Not too many people know about it. All u have to do is open the maps app.

7. OK, but will AirTag work with devices other than Apple? The only Apple product I own is my M1 Mac Mini.

   • No, it only works with Apple devices

10. thank you Miles great video…I have already had my airbag holders delivered now waiting on the airbags .. I have had Tiles before and now happy that apple has produced it own product

11. So I got the 4 pack but to be honest I’m a little disappointed with the Airtags. The alert is not as loud as my tile mate and the quick find doesn’t seem to work in the dark, I had to turn on the flashlight to use it. And the range is extremely limited. You really need to be in the same room for this feature to work. I’m ALWAYS misplacing my keys and AirPods case around the house. Tile pisses me off because sometime it just won’t ring and it doesn’t tell you want the battery is going dead until you open the app. And at that point I can’t find the item that is attached to the dead tile.

12. Wish you had a another person with iPhone to test longer range tests. See how it can be tracked when detected? by others iOS users to help you find your tag.

13. Are you uploading HRD and youtube on windows messing it up?

14. Apple should have made them rechargeable on the watch charger.

15. Apple needs to add some sort of one time access pass for other people to find your AirTag. Sort of like CarKey sharing through iMessage. For example, I left to work and realized I forgot my wallet. I can then share access to my AirTag to my wife to find my wallet with precise location. Idk if I’m making sense lol
