FCPX Stabilizer 2.0 from Pixel Film Studios is a useful tool that allows Final Cut Pro X users to fix shaky footage and handheld shots.
Not only will FCPX Stabilizer pull off basic stabilization, but it can turn run-of-the-mill footage into something special with just a few clicks. Watch our video walkthrough for the details.
This plugin utilizes Pixel Film Studios’ motion tracking technology to counteract the movements of the camera, leaving users with silky smooth shots. Completely bypass the tedium of manual key-framing with automatic tracking stabilization.
Balance the position and rotation of camera shots and crop unwanted edges with incredible ease.
After you’ve exported your data and moved back to the Final Cut interface you can make adjustments to your stabilized footage using parameters in the inspector and on-screen controls.

First.!
It’s not technically a Final Cut Friday but it might as well be. This is a sponsored post, but I’d eventually get around to posting it even if it wasn’t. That’s how cool this plugin is. What do you guys think?
NO ONE should be promoting that ultra-shady company.
Bruhhh I’ve needed this in my life! About to purchase this soon as I get home!
Wow!! Was wondering how you guys made this cool effect, thanks for sharing!
Is the new base model 13 MacBook 2019 able run this plugin smooth?
Yes.
9to5Mac thanks for reply.
At pixel film website it said need at least 2 gb Graphics Card….but base model 13 MacBook don’t have
Graphics Card.
@Yu Loong It has a GPU, it’s just integrated and not discrete. It will work fine.
9to5Mac nice. Tq . love your video.
This looks amazing! Is it masking you out onto it’s own ‘layer’? Can you put another background behind you?
No, it just ads tracking points. But if you make a mask yourself you can track the mask and achieve it that way.
I really like these FCPX weekly tips. Please keep them up.
Джефф, ты не добрился
the mustache tho
this is what i NEED! So cool, I used your link!
Very cool. I will definitely check this one out. By the way, random question – what microphone arm are you using? I noticed it in the background.
