  1. May I ask how’s your 38mm battery life performs? I’m getting barely over a day battery life and was wondering if there are some setting to help that. Thanks!

    • Easily over a day. Probably a day and a half. Do you use workouts a lot? I don’t, which is probably why my battery is so good. Might want to consider switching to 42mm if your wrist can accommodate it.

    • 9to5Mac thank you so much! I had a 42mm SS and now got really spoiled by the lightest of the 38mm aluminum, and the small case looks more like a real Watch. I do use workout app or out without phone at least 1-2 hours a day.

    • Leica Dad I use workout (and variations of it, ie other apps that use the APIs of workout metrics) a lot but for me workout doesn’t seem to be the top thing killing my battery. After WatchOS 4, Auto Sleep seems to drain battery a lot more than before. I really want sleep tracking (I miss my ultra reliable FitBit) but it’s really crap on the Apple Watch, so I might as well delete the app and save some juice

    • May I ask which size you have? and do you workout with LTE on without carrying your phone?
I know someone who is using the sleep tracking app and was still getting decent battery life, he has 42mm btw.

    • I have the 42mm Series 2 Sport, so no LTE for me I’m afraid. Battery life on OS3 was way above expectation (sort of “easily a day, a day and a half” territory). But with OS4, and with Auto Sleep as the suspect, battery life went from “wow, fantastic!” to “it’s alright”, I can still get through a day, possibly a day and a half, but I’m noticing the battery percentage dropping quite a bit faster than before. Workout, on the other hand, is really frugal in my case. I do 7-13km runs a few times a week. These days I take it real slow, so each run is 50-90 min. Of course HR is constantly on, but at the end of each run, the battery drops on average only 5%, which is unbelievable.

    • 3lite I think the best way to describe it is: they *can be* useful, but they aren’t. Take Shazam for instance, not sure about the new update on non LTE model, but as of now, even if you use the watch app, it’s actually using the phone’s microphone to Shazam. I mean, my phone’s in the pocket that’s why I use the watch instead. But now I need to take the phone out because the mic is muffled inside the pocket? I might as well use the phone!

  2. @9to5Mac. Haha, Is this a re-upload haha? The vid needs some music! My songs might help youtube․com/XimerTracks

  3. What size is it on your wrist? It looks slightly too small. I’m trying figure out if your wrist is massive, or that is the 38mm.

  4. Why can’t I play my music or audio files etc via my apple watch speaker? – if it can play sounds, and siri audio etc, why not music etc

  5. Can someone help me pls?
I downloaded the First Beta of watchos4.0 which is reeeaaaly slow but the thing is that i cant Upgrade to newer betas…
Now that the golden master Version is out there, how can i „upgrade“ to that?
I already tried deleting the profile and restarting but it didnt work…

  6. Shazam in recent update is really great! So much improvement. I also use my own apps: WatchCalculator and SBarometer. Since I did not find the suitable ones, I wrote my own.
