I run my own custom bird sounds through one of the pods through a custom shortcut automation; I wasn’t too impressed with Apple’s “forest” sound.
Yeah, leaves a bit to be desired, for sure.

Yeah, not live yet, but it’s coming in the future. Really good feature.

We had the Apple TV 16.3 release as well. As far as I can tell, that is to let it work with the new HomePod as a speaker pair.
Thank you for your informative overview of 16.3 and HomePod features! I love Ambient Sounds. It’s awesome to know they’re available through ‘Choose Media’, and that they can be integrated in automations. I have paired OG HomePods and the synchronicity and sound quality are fantastic for spoken word and music. I’m excited to experience paired Gen 2 HomePods when they arrive!

Hi fellow OG HomePod owners. I can get Siri to access the sensor data on my minis if I use my phone, iPad or the minis themselves. However, if I ask Siri about those data using my OG HomePods, Siri cannot “do that”. Do you have the same issue?
WOW! That is so cool. I love that we can use our Apple Music. The sleep app in focus won’t let us pick the Apple Music.
Yeah, it’s great to be able to wake up to whatever song you can think of.
currently updating my iPhone and iPad to take advantage of the temp settings, it will be interesting to see because I’ve always felt my apartment thermostat doesn’t read correctly. This also makes me want to get another HomePod mini or 2 so I can use the ambient sounds for stuff because right now I think it’d more annoy the rest of the family since we’re not all on the same schedule lol.
I love the new updates. Now just imagine if apple Updated the HomePod mini and made the cable removable and created a battery that plugged into the HomePod mini for portability.
Any chance they added a way to turn off the notification that shows up on every iPhone lock screen in the house, even guests that come over, that shows currently playing music on the HomePod. Great if I am choosing the music but annoying if I’m a guest.
Any chance Apple allows the HomePod not to appear as a speaker when I get iPhone calls? Annoying when I want to use the iPhone speaker and have to quickly select past 5 homepods
