  1. A hollow bolt, really? The thing that keeps people out of your home i hollow… Think about that for a second.

    • Was waiting for this comment. Level says that the bolt has been tested for durability.

ANSI Grade 1, or ANSI Grade A, is the American National Standards Institute’s specification for the strongest, most secure deadbolt lock.

Level Bolt and Level Touch meet this standard.

In case you’re interested, this means the lock passes a number of tests, including:

bolt strength: 1350 lb-f side load
      bolt impact: 2 blows of 148 ft-lb (200 joules)
      bolt saw: 5 minutes @ 5 lb-f
      bolt compressive load: 150 lb-f
      250,000 cycles
      slam test: 10,000 cycles
      ESD (electrostatic discharge): Level 4

  2. The first question I had for the level lock is the physical keyhole. And at 5:30, it shows that the physical key is a type A key which is extremely weak and very easy to pick. So it is a pass.

  3. I wish these locks could come with key holes on both sides because my doors all have glass inserts and could be broken and then unlocked if the inside doesn’t have a keyhole.

  4. So if someone knocks on your door and you go to answer it with your phone in your pocket, all the person on the outside has to do it touch the lock and it unlocks? That doesn’t seem safe

  5. I’m not ready to put my security in hands of new (/bleeding-edge) technology no matter how fancy it looks until we have concrete security implementation is complete

  6. When I make the switch from Android to iOS soon I’m gonna get this, ever since uravgconsumer made a video on it I’ve wanted it
