  4. @jonesboyy93 yes it can be in a retail download (Hell thats what i am doing) but make sure it’s an iso unless ur running OSX running via hardware virtulizetion u can use a .dmg but the size is about 7.15gb for a true retail and u need a dual layer dvd to burn it. Unless u have a bit of knowlage on how to use the disk utillitys in OSX to burn it to a usb in a hardware virtulizetion tool. Good luck with ur Hackintosh. Message me if u have any problems.

  5. I have an iMac with no OS and won’t boot from my DVD drive for some reason. I also have a Mac OS X 10.4 retail install DVD. All of my other computers are Windows based. Is there a way to make a bootable flashdrive for my iMac from Windows (XP, Vista, or 7 preferably)?

  6. my flash drive wont partition. it just sits there saying “creating partition map” what should i do? i followed all steps exactly.

  7. I ended up taking it to the mac store and they loaded up an OS for free. Thanks though. 🙂
