1st gen iPad Pro 12.9 is the 2015 model not the 2018 model

Will the 2017 10.5in iPad Pro (A10X) get the update?
Life goes on and all device hit EOL at some point and support ends. Apple’s QA isn’t great and keeping support on old products is chewing up resources needed for testing current OS’es.
All right, the 2018 iPad Pro line is not going to be unsupported. Neither will the iPhone XR, 10S, and 10S Max. Although these devices would be getting a sixth year of support, they are not running horribly bad on iOS 16. Anything released before that probably will lose support, that includes the 10.5 inch iPad Pro.
I still get security updates for iOS 12 for my iPhone 6!
No chance the 2018 iPad Pro or any 2018 device gets dropped
Really confused that my iPad pro 2018 will be dropped until I come to the comment section. I just got a brand new iPad Pro 2018 11 inch 256wifi version directly from Apple via battery replacement service in mid February this year. I got that one on November 11th 2018❤

Just to recap what has already been commented. 2018 is actually Generation 3 and not Gen 1 so not to worry and get rid of your 2018. When you said 12.9 and 10.7 inch instead of 11 inch I knew something was incorrect. These things happen so no worries. Keep making your fantastic content!!!
Just Upgraded my Mom’s SE (1st Gen) to an 14. I myself wait for the 15 tho, still got the X. :O I think it’s ok, I got mine since 2018 or 2019 I guess (not sure anymore xD) and that’s at least 4 years until the iPhone 15 releases. It works okey and my lately experienced battery issues were fixed with and reboot, but I planned to finally upgrade anyways.
By “losing support” are you saying the devices mentioned will not update to iOS17 and will remain on iOS16?
I mean i’m still on my iPhone X and i got it since launch. So from 2017 all the way until around October 2023, even if support doesn’t drop when iOS 17 is out, i was already planning on buying the new iPhone 15 Pro. I think it will be well worth it (once again.) I’m still happy with my iPhone X. But looking at the newer design, i love it and i was planing on getting the 14 Pro but since my iPhone X is still going strong, i’m planning to wait until the next one. I think i got my money well worth!
