after johnny left the mothership, apple could finally rectify his bs design flaws
I think Apple and Jony got wrapped up in making Apple a Louis Vuitton… Psh, I need my machine to perform road and track!
I would say Jobs, because with Jobs, he kept ports, sd card, upgradeable ram, ssd, magsafe, and still had great design, and easier, cheaper service and repairability in and out of warranty.
it was not perfect, but it was much better.

where the wimpy tim crook is scared to say anything and probably knows very little about tech and design, he was basically given the position based on profits and greed, nothing to do with tech, customer wants and needs, quality control, image, and doing the right thing.
He is reactive after a problem instead of proactive fixing it first, and he lies openly very often and bows down to china and others.
which is where most of the new mac pros and its components will most likely be built, even though they try to ake you think it is only in texas, which is tasked with supplying america not other countries.

Na I don’t think it was him. I think there is some “new tech ideas guy” not design. Fantastic Touch Bar, new keyboard that is thinner. Bad tech that is what I think.
He helped design this MacBook though. Design for this model has been going on for at least a couple of years. Honestly the hate for Ives in recent years is disrespectful for someone who is responsible for some of the best products. I’d say it’s more a Tim Cook choice about the direction their products take. But apple is finally listening, stubborn though they are.
Why is there no function key model? I’d pay extra!

I am one of those people that bought a 15-inch mid-2019 MacBook Pro with i9 processor. I want the new 16-inch late-2019 MacBook Pro but I am resisting so far and probably will wait until the next processor upgrade before I upgrade to the 16-inch version.

Yes. I got the 16 inch last week. It has this issue while using Final Cut and YouTube. I believe its a software issue though.
You can read about it on Gearslutz.com forum for audio engineers and music producers. Also check the latest Vtudio YT Channel videos. He has even more issues: coil whine, fans are double as loud as 15“ and so on. The 16“ is not the holy grail.
It’s almost torture to watch this all while I’ve been waiting for my 16” MBP all day. It’s been delayed twice. But now it’s actually out for delivery. The wait is extreme.
