Soft and sleek but at the cost of a kidney. I did the same review for the 12.9″ and it’s definitely for a very dedicated fan base.
EXCESSORIZE ME. More like the cost of an innocent animal being tortured and exploited. Leather isn’t just a by-product of the meat industry.
The worst of the worst.
Very similar to Hard Graft sleeves with the felt. I personally wouldn’t rock one based on the magnet snap enclosure – I’m not a big fan of them because I always misalign then and fumble trying to get it to lock (this also means it’s not a quick and easy process, it require me to look at the locks to get it aligned) and they could limit you in stuffing more accessories in or a thicker case as it may not stay shut then.
EXCESSORIZE ME. Okay, thanks a lot! I’ll think about what I’ll buy, but I guess it will be something similar. Or probably I’ll end up buying the Apple leather sleeve lol… it’s expensive but looks amazing and it’s elegant, simple and slim. Hope I’ll find something cheaper though which is still good quality and good looking.
Why are these accessories so expensive? Are they making leather from Mars Cows?
I cant justify this for 129 maybe 89 dollars maybeeeeeee. It’s a sleeve lol
I have zero interest in it but good video.
Animals, especially cows, suffer tremendous abuse and exploitation for leather production. It’s not just a by-product of the meat industry.
RollYourRock Absolutely not.
+Ben Tarr what’s it a by-product of then? Lol
Of the leather from cows, the majority is taken from those who are slaughtered for their meat or from dairy cows no longer producing enough milk to remain profitable. The most “luxurious” (i.e. soft and thin) material, however, is supplied by new-born veal calves and sometimes even unborn calves taken prematurely from their mother’s wombs.
There is an important economic interdependence between factory farming and the leather trade, and thus farmers do not sell every single part of each animal to minimize waste but instead to maximize revenue and profit. In countries where animal protection laws are loose or non-existent, animals are regularly killed despite their bodies offering little or no meat, and sometimes even when endangered or threatened.

+austinutube98 that’s obviously a Vegan/PETA type website that’s gonna be very biased.
Just wait for Logitech to make a cheaper, better one
I’d go for a felt sleeve instead.
Good copies from China in couple weeks. Waiting.
What the hell happened to the beautiful and functional all-leather iPad Smart Case ($79.95)? – Must not have provided enough profit !!!
*ding ding ding* Tim “Accessibility for all” Cook felt they weren’t penny pinching enough.
Soooooo…
What are the benefits of leaving the wifi on again?
Pricey, but I’d probably buy it.
Nice product. Not for me but still a very Apple product. What is that keyboard he has attached to the imac?
I liked your idea of using the Leather Sleeve as a working mat. Looks and feels guud. Great idea
The case inside the case seems overkill imo
Apple always pays a lot of attention to details and sells its products at a fair high price. If I am rich enough, I will definitely purchase this sleeve.
I typically don’t mind paying “the Apple tax” and I have numerous times over the years, but $129 for this actually, surprisingly, surpassed even my limit for overpaying for something. I feel that Apple is REALLY pushing it with this product. It’s nice, but the price is absolutely ridiculous. They could have easily charged $89-$99 for it. Still a little pricey, but not insane. $129 is over the line.
iPad is cool. But, does anyone else think that if you’re going to hook it to a case, and keyboard – just get a Mac? That set up is so clunky and thick – I mean, I understand needing a keyboard, but if you need it that often wouldn’t it just be better to have a laptop? Idk, tablets are a weird item… Wish Apple would just turn the iPad into a Mac already.
