I didn’t notice any sound issues. I didn’t play this video on a high end stereo but the sound was good for me. The editing was off at times but that comes with experimenting. Why were you looking away from the camera so much during part of the video BTW? Good work and keep experimenting.
Always love a Jeff video. As far as the product: 1. I hate hard-wired connectors; it should have a thunderbolt port instead of hard-wired thunderbolt cable; 2. no SD card is a big miss.

Will it support two 1440 displays with Macbook? Be able to hook up the Apple power adapter would be awesome, like the original Apple USB-C Multiport adapter.

I get the legacy USB 3.0 connector, but neither USB-C pass-through power nor USB-C at all! WTF!
The whole point of a dock/dongle is to make one connection to the Mac/PC for most use, and to use the other ports for occasional/special use. This fails that test.
My take is that they’re aiming it to be portable, easy to connect and fully bus powered without huge power bricks. There are other options for those that want all of those features.
I disagree that there are other options. This is the first T3 dongle I’ve ever seen.
It looks like a trend, and a FAIL FEST that docks are dumbing down to the lowest common denominator instead of leading away from USB-A. Where are the USB-C/T3 peripherals, BTW? Printers? Scanners? Keyboards? DISPLAYS?
Suggestion
1) Took too long to review the unit, there is so much repetition, keep your sentence and video short
2)Middle part of the video you were losing eye contact, you should keep a good eye contact like how you did for the end of the video.
3) Would like to see the a sample of something (eg video etc) playing at 4k 60hz.
Overall is good, keep up the good work and looking forward for more egpu videos

2 things , 1. cable is pretty short , 2nd usb output and network basically usb related and its 100% lower speed if u use both , plz test usb transfer and speed test together to check ..thx

Hey, Jeff. I would definitely consider using that HDMI dock. TB3, is definitely an impressive technology and when I do upgrade to that standard I am sure it will be an impressive transition. Great video and thank you for sharing.
