Hello 9to5Mac Readers! Greg Barbosa here to review the Philips 276E6ADSS 27-inch Quantum Dot monitor. Philips promises that the Quantum Dot technology will bring clarity unlike any other on the market.
For this video review I used a 13" MacBook Pro with Retina display and an Xbox 360 over the HDMI port, but in my day to day testing I was using a Mini DisplayPort to VGA.

Hi hmmm what happened to jeff
+Liam Hanmore Jeff is still here!
+9to5Mac oh ok nice video!
Sorry but we need Jeff. Man where are you ?
+Harshit Yadav He’s still around! You’ll continue seeing his videos here.
299 nice price for this new tech
but that resolution is a big downside at 27inch
btw 99% sRGB is what most its led are already touching n surpassing with calibration
I’m more concerned about adobe RGB, so in that price it is a huge deciding factor
any comparison with oLED dynamic range n blacks will be much appreciated
you didt discuss about light bleed if any, any thing like IPS glow this new tech has and how blacks n whites show on the screen
Excellent
I’m sure u r best judge of how it looks and in video it looked amazing especially blacks
I’m sure Phillips will add more connectivity options to it, Display Port, higher resolution n stuff
So how u calibrated it ?
N about Oled I think u can try with Samsung S6 🙂 hehehe

Hahaha
subscribed ur channel for that Hackintosh video u guys made recently, really interested to see performance difference of final cut pro n premier cc
hope u guys update that as well for video editing
It’s 99% AdobeRGB or sRGB? One the site you’ve written Adobe while here you said Adobe sRGB which is a non existent mix of the two
The difference is huge between the two.
yeah rofl, its not to hard to get that write or say it write or after edit it in youtube.
maybe 99 percent just srgb :p which would make it useless.
probs 100 percent srgb and over 99 percent adobe rgb but who knows!
Who are you and what did u do to Jeff
Jeffffffffffff! We need Jeffffffff!
There aren’t enough comments asking for Jeff yet so
Jeff pls (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ
jk! Nice vid on the monitor! Perhaps I’ll reference back to this some day when looking for a new one.
I’ll join. Where’s Jeff? I only came here because of him
I will add though, the person in this video wasn’t bad. He did a good job
It’s the same to amoled?
this monitor has so many flaws.. very bad execution and not really worth the price tag. really the only good thing about it is the panel but with a monitor you simply don’t just buy a panel..
Thanks for the review! Has this monitor any backlight bleeding around the edges?
