    • these people are the worst kind ugh….. they are too afraid of the change
and they wanna pull back others with em. even when cruze mode was
introduced for the cars there were people sayin ‘hey is pressing
accelerator that hard? jeez’ but now what? cruze mode is so convenient in
highways. I bet you still go to every offline store to buy your stuff lol

    • +blastercombo audio Digital buttons can change their UI to fit any apps
purpose. Are you still using your qwerty keyboards? No

Change is a change even if it’s a minimal change

    • to be fair though command+space seems quite a bit faster than command+that
button up left and then scrolling through your apps. That is even if the
app isn’t in your dock because then you could just use the massive trackpad
to pan towards the icon and click. I like efficiency – and that doesn’t
have to be the touchbar the entirity of time for it to be efficient in
      general.

  1. Apple should give the option to move the Dock to the Touchbar without
hacking. That way users can use the entire screen.

  2. When you think about it its actually a pretty good idea, especially when
you run all your apps in full screen lol

  3. How is this a “fast” app switcher? Instead of just pointing and clicking an
app in your dock, you have to press the shortcut, go to all apps, and then
select the app. Seems more gimmicky than useful.

  4. I have the 15″ with touch bar, but I don’t see the point of these apps.
It’s so much faster for me to use cmd+space, type cal to bring up the
calendar; or any other apps for that matter. My hands remain on the
    keyboard and it’s much faster…

  5. this reminds me of rocketdock, a utility for windows that gives you a
    mac-style dock.

  6. So lets think about this for a second. FIRST, you have to hit command and
tilda to just invoke the rocket application. Than you have to touch the
application that you want, and hope the application is open. So firstly,
why on earth would you do this in the first place, when you can do that
entire thing by just clicking command and tab. Ok, so now lets just say the
application you want is not already running, but it’s in your dock. So lets
continue by clicking yet another button, and than maybe scroll over a bit
to finally find the application that you want. And that ENTIRE time you
could have just done that with a swipe and a click of the trackpad. To be
fair, it’s a little pointless if you ask me.

    • Don’t worry, this concept will find it’s way on next year’s macOS which
won’t require a shortcut. You guys need to realise that software can be
altered in the future, and that third parties are confined to the
      limitations of Touchbar for now.
