Also I check my settings for time to time and decide whether or not I want a certain setting on or off
Please understand what you’re enabling/disabling before you change it. Maybe even change 1 thing at a time so, if it doesn’t suite your particular circumstance, you know what you changed and you can undo it
Disable the lock screen widgets and the always on display.It saves battery life.

10:10 I noticed here in downtown Stockholm, Sweden, that 5G Auto made app much much more snappy than LTE, like quick bank logins with FaceID etc. Half a second makes a big difference when you auto toggle between bank authenticator and bank app (BankID)
When following the information provided in the video under applications using cellular data I noticed an “APP” that I did not recognize and was turned on! After some research on:

It was noted that it is a “wallpaper” that is new in iOS 16 that seems to be not overly clearly documented that it is an Apple thing that is not an app but sorta gives the appearance of an app from a cellular perspective BUT can’t be found under App Library. So some people like me think “Have I been hacked?”! I wish Apple had been a bit more clear about this.
For the average user… Work hard to remember if you gave the app permission to photos, microphone, camera, location, etc.… As a former cell phone store manager, I cannot tell you how many times I had people come in complaining that they used to be able to post pictures on an app and now they can’t do it anymore, or they used to have a store’s app tell them they had stuff available when they got near that store and that no longer happens. And it turned out to be because they turned off permissions. So they were turning off features that they liked and wanted, and they were not aware that’s what was happening.
Question…If you turn off “Routing and Traffic” does that prevent Apple from knowing your position when driving? If so, I can see that not being a good thing to do. If everyone turned that off it would make Apple Maps less effective because it would not know where congestion is when traveling and Apple Maps would be less able to give you good advice on whether you should choose an alternate route or not.
Not sure I agree with about half of these, as I prefer to have many of these on. But good to bring them up for people that don’t know. For Search, as soon as you swipe left or right you can see the screen dots anyway, so I much prefer to have the search bar. I also really like the daily Apple News Newsletter notifications. I have all of those toggles on, and I rarely get spam emails from Apple. Only about twice a month I will get new apps or Music that has come out, that’s about it. I also like the personalized recommendations, rather than random recommendations. I have found some awesome music creation apps that way, which I never would have found otherwise. Also, Google does FAR more of this on my Android phone, and doesn’t tell you, since they make all their money off personalized ads. I get spam email every week from Google from this stuff, so at least Apple does a better job than Google is doing in this area.

We can swipe on search bar to change home screen pages, no need to turn off that.
I picked up a couple of helpful hints at the end, but I already employed a lot of these. I wanted to say, however, that you went way too fast for me to pop to the setting you’re changing and follow along. I had to hit rewind repeatedly for most of these. It was partly that I probably mess with my settings, less often than you do, and so it took me a little longer to get there, but then you’re trying to help people who know less than you do, so expect them to be slower. In addition, you know where you’re going at each step, but your listeners don’t, so you need to give them a couple of seconds to catch up.
Thanks for pointing out that there’s a way to make the ads that you’re going to get anyway more relevant to me. I checked to make sure I had personalised recommendations enabled, and luckily I did.
