  1. My hope is that the NEW laptop is a MacBook, and that Apple keeps the MacBook Air in the lineup with it being….

MacBook Air / MacBook / MacBook Pro Max & Pro models

    • It’s a bit of mess seeing how the 10.2-inch iPad is the baseline model in the iPad family while on the Mac side of things the proposed “MacBook” is the mid-tier model. But I do agree going with this naming will be way easier to distinguished between the MacBook Pro that’s meant to represent the top-tier and not going through the debacle like with the 13-inch 2 Ports and 4 Ports MacBook Pro of yore.

  2. 3:10 That likely is incorrect. The Air and lower end Pro will both have 60 hz Mini-LED or neither of them will. I cannot imagine Furman’s source being correct on that one. (I can believe no ProMotion, though.)

  3. Return of MagSafe on entry level MacBooks, please. It’s one of the reasons why I’m contemplating a base model 14MBP

  4. It’d make sense for Apple to ditch the 13 inch MBP, rebrand the MBA just MacBook, and launch a larger version of it. Then just two notebook lines in two sizes each like in the old days of iBook and PowerBook. MacBook 13/15 inch and MacBook Pro 14/16 inch.

  5. I’m surprised none of the Apple channels are talking more about the poor motion performance on the Macbook Pro displays.

  6. If rumors are true that the iMac pro is delayed. I think the mystery mac will be either a mac mini with m1 pro & m1 max or a larger 27” iMac with the m1 chip because Apple did offer the iMac pro and the retina 5k iMac both in the 27” chassis.

  7. I love that your videos are in HDR honestly, though when im in a dark room sometimes the display on my MacBook Pro goes full on HDR brightness and blinds me haha

  8. I think this March the two macs we’ll get are the M1 pro/max versions of the Mac Mini and the 27” iMac. The latter will not be the iMac ‘Pro’. That will get launched along with the Mac Pro at WWDC, and will have the dual/quad Pro/Max CPU’s. The m2 MacBooks will not be launched until after that, IMO.

  9. I agree that certain aspects of the Apple product line is a little bloated. Especially the iPad line. The Mac lineup looks good so far, I even think that adding a larger screen with a base chip would be a good idea. I would like to see Apple transition to mini LED and OLED on all products, which would really help them to push their Apple TV service with HDR. Promotion needs to become a standard within the next couple of years, as well.

  10. I would like to see Apple releasing a website online shop, official one, here in Greece. So that I don’t have to pay close to double the price because the local shops (authorized dealers or whatever) want to have a higher profit margin per computer than Apple. Who knows, it might even make me buy a new Apple computer in the future instead of avoiding it like the plague.
Otherwise, a 27 inch new iMac with the same and brighter colors than the 24 would be nice. Or even a new mini, with colors!

    • You could just have a friend buy you a Mac while in the US, and travel over with it to Greece. When I was in university, students did this all the time. I even did that a few times for “a friend of a friend”.

    • @langhamp8912 That’s a good plan. All I need is a friend who is in the USA or in Greece to go and buy me one in the USA and travel with it here. My point is, that’s like playing blackjack, not a real plan. :p But thanks for the suggestion. 🙂 Besides, right now I can’t afford one even on American prices.

  11. I think you are getting the definitions wrong for “officially” and “for good”, at least in relation to the touch bar. But great work overall!

  12. I could see Apple’s entire notebook lineup except the entry-level MacBook Air switch to Mini LED by the end of this year. There’s no way the new redesigned 13″ MBA has a Mini LED display but a new entry level 14″ MBP doesn’t. Both will have Mini LED without ProMotion.

  13. I wouldn’t be surprised if the M2 approaches the performance of the 8/14 M1 Pro, or even the 10/16 M1 Pro (while being a lot more efficient)
