1. Though, it’s 99% certain that the new Mac Pro will be released in Q4, can I hope an announcement next month anyway?

   We’ll get a Mac mini. Would love to see the Pro and Max chips. But I think it will be M2. I think if they put Pro and Max chips in there, performance/price ratio could possibly eat into Mac Pro sales.

2. I’m holding back from buying current gen M1 so I can get the new one

   • If you wait for 3 years, you can buy M3

3. I think, we are going to get some „casual“ Macs, M2 is going to be for „normal people“ . MacBook (just simple, no more Air), MacMini M2 with new Design, iMac27 with M2. Pro Macs will come with M2 Pro and Max later in 2022.

4. My money says a “Mac Mini Pro” with Pro & Max options for March release.

5. whatever mac(s) they release, I just want a 120hz mini-LED or OLED monitor to go with it that is affordable to the average human

   • 120hz mini led is by definition not affordable to the average human

   • Honestly I’d be fine with 60hz on a Mac book air. All it means is more battery life. Mini led would be great though. OLED would be cool but I just doubt it will happen.

   • @Colostomy Bag I believe the way they do variable refresh rate aka “promotion” offsets the battery life since the display only operates at 120hz when it makes sense to. at least I’m pretty sure that’s how it works on iOS devices

6. I’m hoping the MacBook Air comes out with 120hz screen. If it does that’s going to be my purchase.

9. I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think we’ll see an M2 this time around. That would put Apple in the position in which either a) their cheaper MacBooks and Mac mini are more powerful than their more expensive items [can’t happen], or b) they’re actually less powerful but then the chip naming convention for the M-series would get confusing for average consumers [that’s a bit more likely than the alternative, but it still feels like a stretch].

   My money is on the high end Mac mini and iMac 27 inch getting an M1 pro/max. That feels like a safe bet. As for the other thing, my guess is a new iPad Air.

   That said, when *will* they refresh the M-series? Maybe they can do it all on the same day in future like they do with iPads, E.g in March 2023 we’ll get a bunch of new iPads, then in June 2023 the MacBook line gets refreshed with M2 and M2 Max.

10. I really hope they make a refreshed cheaper type such as the Air.

11. Hope not a Mac Pro that makes my 7,1 obsolete. Just ordered one about 2 weeks ago currently being built. Even though I knew eventually they are phasing out Intel macs I needed it now, plus I don’t think their ARM chips will support as much PCIE lanes and thunderbolt ports like the current 7,1. Also boot camp is something I need access to and a lot of PCIe DSC audio cards and storage cards and so on.

12. Smart fridge? Wonder what the repair cost would be to replace the interior light bulb(s)? And would it have RGB? 😉
    Although there is a Microsoft Xbox mini-fridge …

13. March event: (1) Mac Mini with Pro & Max , (2) new 27inch Pro & Max, no promotion and no 120fps. (3) Mac Air redesign with M2. The Mac Pro 32inch with promo screen in October.

14. I’m trying to open an attachment from my Desktop’s ical on my Apple watch.

    I select the ical attachment > Open with Preview > Select All > Copy > Create New Event in ical > Paste to Add Notes in New Event.

    It doesn’t Paste.

    1: Mac Mini “Pro” w/ M1Pro and/or M1Max, 2: 27-inch “5K” iMac w/ M1Pro and/or M1Max, 3: either a 24″ top-tier iMac w/ M1Pro, *or* the new base 13 or 14-inch MacBook Pro w/ M2.
