  1. Glad I ordered the 14 pro max to replace my 12 mini. Will be using it a lot for photography and videography so looks like I’ve made the right choice. Can’t wait for it to be delivered!

  2. I’ve used my 14 Pro Max for two weeks and I love it. I came from a 13 Pro Max so not a major change but seeing as I hike a lot, having that Satcom feature is kind of cool, especially if it’s free for two years

    • @OW like, you barely upgraded bro… you went from the 13 pro max to the 14 pro max for what? a dynamic island? i just thought it was funny that you keep trying to convince yourself that it was a good purchase by bringing up multiple times that there’s people out there with spending problems and spend money on “coffee & video games” which in your mind somehow makes your purchase reasonable

    • I upgrade to 14 pro max from 12 pro max and it’s such an underwhelming upgrade especially with the terrible battery even compared to 12. Also how you gonna gush about a feature which isn’t even out yet?

    • @The Saurness well then two things, either you don’t actually have an iPhone 14 Pro Max or you need to take it back the store and get it looked at because my iPhone 14 Pro Max got about 3-4 hours more battery life compared to my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Like it’s not even close, maybe if you said the 13 Pro Max but between the 12 vs 13/14, there’s a reason why this series has the best battery out of any smart phone.

And two, I work with satcom and so I understand the inner workings of it and it’s not an ways feat to have that on a phone unless you have some goofy looking antenna. Also Google and Samsung release “coming soon features all the time. The new Pixel line up isn’t getting its VPN service til next year and everyone was jumping u and down about that.

    • @OW I don’t know about you but I was getting close to 10 hours of screen on time on a single charge on my 12 pro max right till the end of 2 years when my battery health was at 92%. I vividly remember not needing to charge the phone everyday in the first month or so. I definitely don’t have the same kind of endurance from the 14 pro max with the exact same day to day use. I didn’t use the 13 pro max but kept hearing from people how radically better it is than the 12. If 14 pro max is comparable to 13 pro max according to you, I should definitely get better than the 12. I believe it might be iOS 16 and the always on display but apple should have put in a bigger battery to compensate in place of the literal plastic piece they put in when they removed the sim tray here in the US. Also, the display goes down to 1 Hz now which isn’t limited to the always on display so that should have some gains IMO. Do you regularly get more than 10 hours of screen on time a full charge on the 14 pro max with the always on display?

  3. I’ve currently got the iPhone 13 promax it’s been great at all but it’s a bit too big for my hands and bulky and heavy so I’m getting the smaller iPhone 14 pro next month

    • I did that myself – had a Pro Max phones in the past and went down to a Pro. I dig the smaller size; I do notice the smaller battery size , but it’s much easier to live with ; plus I figure I’d get a m2 iPad Pro – and a smaller phone with an IPad combo makes more sense to me

  4. I upgraded from the 12 Pro to 14 Pro for: Promotion, Space Black color and the new pill cut out. Loving it so far, don’t think I’ll be upgrading again for a few years.

    • Going from iPhone XS to 14 Pro, even I don’t feel it’ll be much of an upgrade….but I will be happy to have better night time photos

    • @Jacob even the 11 is the same lmao. Any iPhone from 11 to 14 is basically the same experience just a tad bit faster and of course the new island on 14 pro. I went from 11 to 14 pro and yeah it’s definitely an upgrade but it’s not amazing and definitely not worth over 1000 dollars. I still feel like I could have lasted 2 more years with my 11

  5. Had the 11PM, bought the 14 Pro and returned it after 2 days. ProMotion is nice but I didnt adjust to it yet and the 60hz on the 11PM is so smooth. Screen resolution is the same and I find the notch less obtrusive and higher up on the screen.

The biggest gamechanger is iOS 16 and I think as long as you have an iPhone that supports it without any performance hitches, then the 14 Pro isn’t worth it right now.

    My 2c

    • From my understanding doubling the refresh rate should cause all scrolling and swiping to be more smooth. It also reduces motion blur with higher refresh rate.

  6. The 2× is digital zoom though, taking middle pixels is exactly what it means to digitally zoom into an image

  7. This guy makes some seriously good stuff. I was so immersed in the video. 1:40 really caught my attention.
