Sounds Like they stole a lot of these features from GNOME.
How about the interface for the keychain? The current interface is really bad and not easy to use, you also can’t use your finger print reader to gain access, this is why I still use 1Password.
Awesome video, man, thanks! Too bad my MacBook Pro 17 Late 2011 which scores 11k in Geekbench is not supported even that it is still the real beast and outperforms most of the modern 12 and 13 inches Apple’s laptops. At least Windows 10 is still fully supported. It is a pity that Apple doesn’t make 17 inches laptops anymore. That is the only reason that stops me from upgrading.
Игорь Якушев dude do you realize what you are saying? Windows 10 came out 3 years ago and it’s still the same. You’ve gotten a new os EVERY year on a Mac for 6 years when they only say they support a product for 5 years. How can you defend windows that hasn’t been updated for that long and say Apple is as fault for not updating their OS for the 7th time after they did to you for 6 years already! You get what I’m saying? It’s time for an upgrade for your dated MacBook. It served you well if it has lasted this long, you definitely got more than you paid for. Don’t try to compare windows to Mac, there’s a night and day difference between the two. Other than for gaming and Mac is better in every way. And you can always get windows on an Apple computer but not the other way around- without problems atleast.
Kamal Kristipati Unfortunately I can not agree with you. Windows 10 gets plenty of new features with major updates every half a year. It does not matter that Microsoft does not change it’s OS’s name every year. If you remember, before the release of Mac OS X Lion, Apple used to develop every operating system for 2 years at least. And they used to introduce new features with new updates. So does Microsoft.
I prefer Mac to PC but I don’t think that I must criticize Windows instantly because of that. Microsoft finally are doing a really good job. And it stimulates competition. So it is definitely a good thing.

“Dark mode”…. it only took Apple 30 years to undo the stupid mistake they forced on users since the ’80s: inverse video. Meanwhile, Windows and Unix users could configure their own system-wide color schemes (honored by all applications by default) in the early ’90s.
Meanwhile, did they fix any of Finder’s numerous defects? Like not providing any way to create a folder within the selected folder? Or search results not showing WHERE each item was found (unless you click on each one, one at a time)?

Yeah, the problem is that Finder alternatives can’t replace all the file Open/Save dialogs.
you do know that if you highlight all of the apps that you searched, you are able to see where the apps came from.

To be fair, it’s a rolling release model, Windows 10 does the same thing, can’t update Edge without updating OS.
It’s not. Apple will be rolling out Safari 12 for High Sierra soon.
Even if Apple added dark mode to the new upcoming Mac OS ,they won’t add it to iOS and will take more 5 years to introduce it because Apple is gandu
Papon Pro I think they might be saving dark mode for an iOS 12.X update to accompany the new iPhones this autumn.
Knowing Apple they’ll make dark mode only available on their new OLED phones even though it works perfectly fine on their LCD iMacs…

You can use the calendar app to enable a script to enable dark mode at certain times. I’ve been doing this ever since the dark menubar came out in El Capitan.
thanks, it works, but as soon as there is more than 1 event in the past when the pc was turned off it randomly activates dark or light mode, no matter which one was last… you know how to fix that?
You want to create a offline calendar that is local on the Mac and not synced to iCloud. Then, create two recurring events that spans the amount of time that you want either light or dark mode to be on each day. Ask those events to trigger a script or trigger an Automator application that runs the script. This way the dark mode/light mode will turn on even if the computer just woke up or booted.

I hope so, but my understanding is that, as of Office 2019, the PC and Mac versions are identical except for the additional programs included in the PC version.

Crazy-Heart that’s probably the reason why they made it to go along with dark mode, and even if that wasn’t the case, of course you can.
The iCloud section in the finder as well as iCloud Drive aren’t new in the Finder sidebar.
I compared directly with the latest public version of High Sierra.
I have the latest version of high Sierra and I’ve had the iCloud Drive in finder for awhile. I guess whenever ever we got the files app on iOS bc they sync with each other
Maybe, but that doesn’t prove me wrong. I work with an iMac on Sierra, a Mac Mini on High Sierra and a MBP with Mojave. I compared them as well.
Now that you said the integration with Facebook and Twitter has been removed everything makes sense. Because the past few days it has been asking me to insert my Facebook password over and over again… guess it’s not compatible anymore

Ye it really good. Firstly I’m a computer science software engineer student so I need a good environment for computer programming. And Mac does just that, thanks to its Unix functionality I can use my skills from Linux to access files and programs from the terminal. And of course I really like how the os looks.
