  1. I watch XXX videos with my AirPods Max several times a day and I’m very happy with the sound quality and isolation, so yes they’re definitely worth it for this purpose. *edit:* they sadly changed the title of this video, it used to say “Worth it for XXX?”. I still stand by my comment, in fact that’s what I’m doing right now.

  2. Correct should have put the best in technology USB4 port on the AirPods Max. Have used my Sony MDR-ZX770BN cans for a number of years, and love the sound. Think I paid around $ 200 back in the day. Would pay $ 250 for the Apple AirPods Max. Thing is for now I see no reason to replace my Sony cans as they still work great for me.

Today it loos like the Sony WHCH710N at $ 178 on Amazon looks to be the update version.

    • Yep. Apple was late to the market and came in at way too high of a price for regular consumers and lacking features for audio enthusiasts who might actually pay that kind of price if it had lossless, USB-C, 3.5mm, etc.

  3. I got them for 440€ and I think they’re worth about 100€ less. The only headphones and earphones I purchased, which are over 100€, were the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. I definitely feel like, and some reviews with microphones for testing prove that the AirPods Max are the best wireless headphones. The only aspects I find actually horrible are the lightning port and the case. Why do I need to buy an extra dongle for experience with lower latency. Also, the case isn’t too bad, it’s just annoying do put them in the case again. I got used to the process but it’s still so slow sometimes as the cups catch the case and block the movement.

Love the HDR on this one! Truly appreciate HDR in videos on YouTube. Wish it was a standard nowadays.

  4. I think their great for what they do. I use them every day. Can they be improved of course. I packed mine and it’s keys and then I bought a third-party hard case that I put them in when out and about. They are great to use at night when my wife is sleeping, because I still feel that I’m getting the full experience of whatever I’m watching in the quality versus listen to my Sennhiser Ambeo sound bar. As far as using him with a computer I am not really not interested in having him connected by a wire. Especially that I know it’s bypassing the DSP. If I’m going to listen critically i’ll just use my Studio headphones and DAC with my DSP( room & headphone correction) on my computer. I’m ether way on usb-c unless I can get more out of it.

  5. I think they’re worth it — I use mine every day without issues. The case isn’t a problem either because I keep the Airpods in the same place and never take them out of the house.

    • The clear issue is for 550$. They’re just clearly not good value. For audiophiles you can have much better sounded wired and (certain) Bluetooth headphones for a quarter of the price of the airpods max. And for the average consumer, you are better off just buying the sony’s for less the half the price, apple user or otherwise.

    • I can get them for 300 USD right now while there retail is 550 ,I am thinking of buying it because at that price I will say they def worth it

  6. They are worth it to me. I have use them a lot this past year. Sounds is balanced and clear and noise cancelation amazing

  7. These have been the most valuable work from home products I’ve ever purchased. I wear them literally 8-10 hours a day, and the noise cancelation has been clutch. Haven’t touched the case since I opened them, might have thrown it out. Battery life, sound, transparency mode, and noise cancellation are outstanding, especially with Spatial Audio.

  8. Apple employees get 25% off so anytime you see them for $400 or less, definitely pull the trigger.
Pro tip: Your local Best Buy usually has a bunch of these on open box and on a good day you can ask them if they can take an additional 10% off. I was able to get a pair for $350 during the holiday season.

  9. They are honestly the most excellent headphones I have ever owned. The price is….outrageous, but man they sound good, switch easily from one device to another and can do phone calls, conferences, and Youtube and movies. The best! Sell a kidney and buy a pair today!

  10. They are 100% worth it. Use them for everything, watching movies, listening to music and playing games on Xbox. After doing a full reset, the battery draining issue got solved. I am sure other connectivity issues will be solved with software updates.

    • I have a question I have a series x. I was thinking of getting these too, am I able to pair them up with the series x

    • @Chuck Hello. You’ll need to buy Lightning to 3.5mm cable so you can plug it into the controller. Microsoft restricts Bluetooth.

    • Hello, how is the headphones for watching dolby atmos and normal stereo movies? Do you use spatial audio and head tracking for all of that?

    • @John Hey John. Yes I use them to watch Apple TV + Content and Dolby atmos enabled movies. They sound great

  11. I absolutely love mine AirPods Max. I use mine every single day and can’t find any faults with them. My Sony mx4 have been packed away and haven’t seen the light of day. Furthermore I can’t understand the hate for the case. I’m definitely not into “fashion” or whatever but the case works for me. Love my Apple Music too 😉

  12. I agree with Miles. They sound great and have great noise cancellation, but I wouldn’t pay full price for them.

  13. I bought the blue just this weekend for full price in Delaware Apple store, saving the cost of NYC tax. I love my AirPods Pro’s, listen to music and Audible almost all day. They tend to get loose and fall out, sometimes catching me by surprise, so that and still working from home was my rationalization for buying them. I love that I get real noise canceling effect—essential since hubby is also working from home. They have a great sound and are comfortable even after wearing them for hours. We’re deep into Apple ecosphere, iPhones, iPads, MacBook Pros and S7 watches. I love how easily they pair with each device effortlessly. I bought a case to protect if when traveling, but mostly they’re in their case and hanging on a $14 stand.

I don’t expect that Apple is going to come out with a new case or change to USB-C. Their focus is on making quality products, we can go elsewhere for accoutrements.

  14. The best build quality headphones ever at that price and the best thing on them I think is a transparency mode. Sounds so real.

  15. I think you’re underselling them a bit. I think they are one of the best headphones ever for a lot reasons. Sound is fun, build quality amazing, and connectivity unmatched. Ease of use is off the charts. They are absolutely worth grabbing if you’re all apple.

  16. I have had some of the most expansive and cheapest. I have had mine for 6 months, and in the 5th month I had an issue; the sound change button would randomly switch from the 3 options, then completely stoped working all together. I returned to Apple and they fixed this issue, and had them back with in 4 days! I love love love them, but I do use them for work 8-10 hours a day. For me a must. Love them.

  17. This coming Wednesday I’ll be getting a pair of the max headphones I found on Ebay. They are brand new and I got them for $482. From a site for the blind, I found a great accessory bundle to go with them. The bundle includes a nice hard shell case, silicone ear protectors for the ear cups, a 6 foot long lightning to USBC cable, and a 20 watt wall charger. I’m sure I will enjoy my new headphones. I just hope I can pay them off in 6 months with pay-pal credit. Thanks for the great video.
