34 Comments on Apple’s Proposed Dual Camera Interface for iPhone 7

  1. it’s Sony who supplies the lenses to apple n Samsung n many more… plz
    don’t say apple

    • +VerdantPictures – Yeah, I agree. HTC did this already. If some company
uses something unique, Apple realizes it years later and does the same and
gets all credit. I wish everyone who didn’t know just could realize this
and buy the original phone that did it instead of iPhone. It makes me
cringe that they might even name it “Pro”.

  2. yet another minor and silly and unnecessary “improvement” to justify buying
the same phone again each year.

  3. I would think dual cameras would only be used for 3d video. Zoom lens
wouldn’t allow that because they wouldn’t have the same shot.

  4. this is the downside to constant pushing things to the limit.. they have
    nothing more to add.. lol

  5. This mock up is faulty – If you have a telephoto lens, you can not change
its axis and zoom in to different points of the view to help focusing.
    sorry)

    • In order for it to work as demonstrated, +Roman Medvid, the telephoto lens
      would need to articulate..

  6. HTC One M8 did dual cameras some time ago, now when this comes out every
teen will be like “OMG THE FIRST TIME PHONE WITH DOOL CAMERAS!!!” Without
quite knowing that many phones have tried this already. I can only assume
this will be around $800+ off contract, and the dual cameras will disappear
    soon, as did HTC’s.

  7. Prefer for single camera that has IOS with very very fast glass lenses
f/1.2 and with the biggest sensor size they can put in a phone and don’t
    look like a remote control

  8. The zooming dog example in the video is interesting. In order for it to
work as shown then the second telephoto lens will need to articulate to
mimic the selection of the wide lens.
