Nice video, but please record the audio live so you’re not miming in the video, and stop trying to sound super expressive, it sounds forced.
It must eat up a lot of bandwidth recording in 4K.
It uses HEVC, so it’s actually fairly frugal when it comes to bandwidth cost.
I’m skeptical, they lied on Arlo 2 1080p and they probably will with 4k
Most likely it’s so downscaled that it will be irrelevant from the sensor, but they have gone away with 7 day cloud storage with their other stuff which is disappointing to see where it is going because they want reoccurring revenue, everyone else
12:30… lack of homekit… bummer
Should be available soon (hopefully) that would make it a lot more compelling.
+9to5Mac indeed.. I currently own Netamo Presence with nice homekit support (“only” full hd though)..
Neither. Consumers are getting fleeced with crappy cameras and cloud subscriptions. Call up any local security team and ask them should you waste a grand on an Arlo 4K system. Once they stop laughing they’ll respond.
But there’s always been a subscription with any security system, no?
