Unfortunately, it’s limited to China at the moment… If that comes to
other markets, Apple, Samsung and Google will all take a huge hit in sales.
OnePLus 3, and Honor 8 and Axon 7 and more Chinese phones like this should
come to the WEST.
then maybe Samsung, Apple, HTC and Sony, Google might drop they flagship
phone price.
Great video! Thanks! I do think the Pixel is overpriced tho
6th!!!
Great video man I see you from Honduras it’s a pleasure see you talking
about an android phone.
Hey Jeff, cool video! No offense but are you a little under the weather ?
You do sound like it i think.. Not trying to be rude, hope you feel better
soon (:
+Victor Muthoka Yeah for sure hope he feels better asap, he has a great
voice imo (:
How long does it take to charge a pixel from 0-100?
QuadRiderHonda0-70% is 15 minutes.
The unlimited storage is nice and all, but what if you switch to another
device after 2 years? If you have 200gb of photo and video storage on
google photos at full resolution, would you get stuck with a monthly
payment?
lonelywuffy no.
Khalid Hasan Zibon so you’re saying I can keep the unlimited photo storage
forever after purchasing the pixel? Prove it and I’ll buy one right now.
Heck of a deal.
lonelywuffy It’s not for Pixel only. It’s a feature of the Google Photos
app. I use that feature on my iPhone so it works on iOS and any Android
device.
I have a pixel and in the Google photo app the selection for full
resolution and unlimited at reduce quality is not there. The select is
defaulted to unlimited storage for pixel device get unlimited storage. that
selection is grayed out.
for non pixel all your picture and video is kept at 1080p unlimited
storage, if you want full resolution it will count towards your total
google storage, whatever that size is.
if your question is if you use 1 terabye of pixel image storage and you
switch to say an iphone 8 in 2 years, your images that you have already
save will be still be free because google has already flagged them as taken
from a pixel device so they would still be free. Any picture after your
pixel would follow the current rules of full or reduce quality.
I just dont see Google sending anyone a bill because they changed to a non
pixel device.
Wow I’m from Guatemala, I never expected some use my country as an example
on a phone review usually no body knows where guatemala is located on the
map
Good competition from google to apple but also perfect timing to gain power
over it’s own android ecosystem now that samsung is in brand trouble
I miss the split screen feature the most since switching to iPhone.
Foxconn manufacture the iPhones but you don’t mention that do you? So there
is no need to mention HTC manufacturing the Pixel.
+Adam Foxconn doesn’t make their own phones either. It’s very relevant.
9to5Mac I hadn’t thought of it like that. Good point
Adam he said its an htc design. Its not like an iphone is a foxconn design?
nielsvanb But HTC design is technically incorrect. Though developed in only
9 months, this is Google’s phone from top to bottom. HTC is like Foxconn in
that sense. This isn’t like Nexus where the phone would be 90% complete
before Google took over.
Nujad Bolivar exactly my point.
The back of the phone perplexed me. It just looks weird, half-assed, and
doesn’t make sense. Same with the fingerprint sensor on the back. But, what
do you have if you remove the plastic piece on the back and move the
fingerprint sensor around to the front? An iPhone clone. That’s why they
moved the fingerprint sensor to the back and put that ugly piece of plastic
over the top third of the back of the phone.
I really hope Apple is listening and watching videos like this one!
Thanks jeff. Excellent review. You deserve 10 million subscribers at least.
The purpose of the ‘chin’? So you can hold it and still see the entire
screen without your fat fingers in the way… I’m sick of people wanting
the screen to go right to all the edges. Dumb idea.
Also, Siri can do concatenated queries just fine (including your Guatemala
one) so I’m not sure what you’re all doing wrong!
But it’s nice to see Google make a good phone. The worst part about Android
is how much of a mess the ecosystem is.
Great idea. Still too pricy.
I just love how unbiased you were here. I am android fan and I just agree
with every single thing you mentioned
Back looks ugly.
Great video Jeff!
