  1. Power bricks are a fail. Once I get to a certain price point if I don’t see a standard IEC connector on the back I move on to your competitor that does.

    • Murchy Murch I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss it on that point alone. Theoretically it means this device will last longer…uch easier to replace an external power supply than to have to send a unit in to have a proprietary internal power supply fixed. Just my two cents.

  2. Does it just use Apple RAID, interfaced with that utility? Or is it their own software RAID, comp to SoftRAID?

    • DurfDiggler it looks like this simple utility with a GUI that use built in raid software controllers!

  3. I have no love for CalDigit. They stopped making USB 3 drivers for the card that fit into a Mac Pro 4,1. “Mac Driver does NOT support 10.10 and 10.11. If you have these OSX versions installed in your desktop, please upgrade your card to FASTA-6GU3 Plus.” I can see CalDigit leaving the T4 in the ditch after macOS 10.14 Mojave or 10.15.

  4. I’ve come the conclusion that having a Thunderbolt 3 Port connection to SSD raid because of the speed of the drives in the 4K time! Having a a platter drive on such a speedy port is not very smart!

  5. I have this system just bought, but have a problem, because Disk Utility is showing RED icon all the time. I use CalDigit original Thunderbolt 3 cabel and all the time disks are showing Updating… Any solution?
