Most households tend to place their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in the downstairs and upstairs landing/hallway. Not really somewhere that you would want an Alexa enabled smart speaker. Might be of some use to huge houses.
I would buy the Nest Protect a million times before this. I personally don’t want smart home devices in my home. I get by with a tru-value smoke detector and carbon monoxide just fine.
