The issue with smart shades/blinds is never the cool factor it’s the sticker shock. These are pretty cool.
Some idea, even a general idea, on pricing would have been great. Are they $200? $1200? Ballpark would even work.
Stephen G you can only buy them made to order so in London they’re about £700 per square metre which is about $90 USD per square foot straight conversion before tax and import so they’re not cheap.

Eric Warrell batteries usually last a year with daily use. You can’t use cheap batteries! Energizer C2 or Duracell!
For most consumers, the biggest barrier of entry to smart shades is PRICE. It’s disappointing that there is no mention of the cost in the video or even on the links that you provided. That tells me that these shades are insanely expensive. Pass.

Great product – over priced in the UK. Unfortunately luxaflex do not supply the diy market, their products become very expensive in the uk because of the closed dealer network that requires an appointment with the approved dealer to measure up.
Batteries aren’t cheap
The Pebble remote and hub are sold separately! Very easy to install and program! They are not inexpensive. Hunter Douglas is the Cadillac of all blinds and. shades.
Next time you guys do a demo video, could you NOT use a shallow depth of field on your camera? It’s useless when you’re demoing the remote activating the blinds, but they’re badly out of focus. You kept going on about the “vanes,” but they were actually in focus only briefly and not during the actual demo. In other words, keep the product you’re demoing in focus!
