Yesterday‘s event was awesome! There are so many good features coming to iOS. After I looked at the compatibility list, something tells me this is the last year for the iPhone 8. Parents have an iPhone 8. Do you think they should consider upgrading their iPhones soon?
I would move them to the new SE. same style just new insides.
I would upgrade them to the SE 2 or something like iPhone 11 or newer. Usually updates are restricted based on processors, so I would stick with one similar to the M1 or A14 or newer.

I really like how notifications appear in the bottom because i use my photo as wallpaper so i want to see my self not those annoying Notifications
I love the new changes including the messages rolling in from the bottom! Need an iPhone battery widget for Lock Screen but think that’s just missing because there is one for the watch. Also like the search button because so many forget to swipe down or don’t even know!! So intuitive!
You can change it to the phone by long pressing after selecting. It’s set to automatic by default
I would love to see a video on MBA with m2 vs 14” MBP base edition!
Did they do anything to change the experience for dual SIM users and focus mode ?
I’d like to know how the subject crop feature competes with the live photo long press on the screen. Is long press to see the Live Photo not available anymore?
I love the notifications at the bottom, so they’re not blocking my wallpaper.
Trust me there’s been times I’ve had motivations and I’d clear it just because I want to look at my wallpaper lol
Although this update is pretty nice, there’s still some features missing like handoff support for Apple Music, the ability to move apps within the App Library, a more customizable control center and more widgets like one for Safari where you can put bookmarks… P.D. The reason why the put a Spotlight Search button on the bottom is to avoid accidental swipes on any Smart Stack you may have on your Home Screen.
I would love to be able to transfer the FaceTime screen to Apple TV while using my iPhone or iPad
There should be an option to toggle if you want notifications coming from the bottom or top for the lock screen
I like the spotlight feature being more visible. Especially for my parents, because it’s is so hard to explain to them how to get to spotlight. I get that it isn’t hard but for older folks it will be useful.
The search change is not only convenient it makes it easy to discover for non-techies. Believe it or not regular folks like our parents or friends don’t know about spotlight.
I’m noticing if I change my Lock Screen wallpaper it also changes Home Screen and won’t let you have 2 different wallpapers.
You can you just have to go into wallpaper from the settings area and change each one individually. It takes a few times doing it and swiping out and back in again, then it finally changes.
i live the notifications coming from the bottom! if you only have a notification or two i agree it’s a bit low, but if you have many, you can slide them all the way up!
Are the old lock screen widgets gone (the “swipe right” ones)? Also, what happens when you swipe right on the home screen, are those widgets still there?
Should we update to developer beta? Iv always have but feel nervous about this one lol
One thing I will say about the additional spotlight search option, it is cool having that extra option if you use a Smart Stack on the lower right of your Home Screen – when try to swipe down to go to spotlight, it’ll swipe through Smart Stack widget. So I kinda welcome the extra spotlight search option at the bottom. And thankfully Apple allows it to be toggled off for those who don’t like it at all.
