2. It looks kind of cool, but tbh if I really wanted to charge my phone quicker I would just plug a regular cable. I have a similar charger on my desk and when I use it the phone is on the charger for several hours, so I don’t mind the difference of couple of Watts. I don’t know, looks really cool but I don’t see the trade off. Even if the fan is quiet… If the price it’s similar to others, just not turning on the fan and still looks cool (I really like the fabric mesh pattern in the lower part)

5. The fact that this needs a fan only PROVES that “wireless charging” technology is still not ready for Prime Time. I’m almost positive Apple saw this and realized that going portless on the iPhone 13 was going to be a bad idea.

   I much rather manufactures focus on Wi-Fi charging instead. That, is the true wireless charging future.

9. Damn guy you need to mix your audio better, the last few videos I’ve seen from you I’ve had to turn up my freakin’ volume up to damn near max to just hear you.

10. Nice video. Please consider making separate channels, splitting the iPhone/iPad content from the MacBook content. I’d like to follow your mobile content, but I don’t want to fill my Subscriptions feed with MacBook content that I won’t watch. Thanks.

11. @9to5mac Jeff, I saw you were holding the base of the charger while moving the iphone from portrait to landscape. Is the base heavy enough to put and remove iPhone pro without toppling it?

12. Why is there a BUTTON to turn on the fan? If there is a dedicated light that notifies you of it dropping from 15 watts then the fan should be able to kick itself on and off as needed.
