7:47 That seems like such a weird tweak to make. The sonar sound, at least in my mind, is synonymous with a lost device/ Find My app and really fit the theme of the app, especially given the icon…
I could have been changed because it now has a more broad frequency range, older people and individuals with high frequency hearing loss may have had a hard time hearing it. The reason they initially chose a high frequency chime was likely due to high frequency sound being perceived more directionally so its easier to tell the exact location the sound is coming from.
The old one sounds like it’s coming from every direction for me, I’m glad it’s changing
@antman99781 this! I hated that, I never really knew where to look, it just at least put me in the correct room of the house… now hopefully I can pinpoint it in a room! Probably my favorite update.

I’ve been experiencing a lot of “keyboard disappearing” bugs, particularly in iMessage

Me too. iMessage freezes for me sometimes and I have to open and close it like 5 times for it to work again
@Ghost yeah, I feel like every 10-15 messages or so something goes wonky and I have to close and reopen it. I just had a weird bug in iMessage where the entire keyboard flipped upside down on the top of my screen. Everything else was normal, but there was a blank spot where the keyboard is supposed to be at the bottom and the keyboard was upside down overlaying the messages on top…
@Random Bogey that’s why you wait a little bit to do an update cause there’s going to be glitches

My iPhone 12 was having beta iOS 16 RC. I deleted the beta profile 2 days ago to get the final update. But I am yet to get the final update. Is there anything else I have to do?
This just may be me, but the audio on AirPods Pro sounds a whole lot better on iOS 16.

@Dev Could be, but they certainly sound better to me.
Apple should have a option on iMessage to where when you send a group message they get the message individually and they can respond to you individually as well instead of getting everyone’s reply in a group chat.
that literally defeats the purpose of a group message.. like what? lol
@void creativity not really. It’s essentially like doing the same thing as a BCC in an email but having it housed within iMessage. Seems like a cool feature imo

I have an iPhone X for Beta testing purposes. The phone got very hot with the beta version (battery health is 99%) and it still gets way too hot. Its literally not useable anymore

I agree that live text is amazing. If I can’t capture text in an app I take a screenshot and grab the text that way. Makes a huge positive difference in my workflow. So I am super excited about the video capture, too.

I had a hard time trying the feature that allows you to copy and paste parts of pics with my cat as the subject but it works with gnomes too if your subject is a gnome
Also the new Find My sound is the same rhythm as the sound of an AirTag
I think my favorite feature I love is the Lock Screen It’s giving WATCH vibe from it I LOVE IT
The horizontal Face ID is a gamechanger for me (as I’ve mounted the phone horizontally on my motorcycle for navigation)
Still waiting for them to bring back Home Screen rotation in the bigger devices. I dunno why they took it away in the first place
