    • Nope. It’s the opposite. 48mp is still fresh and a “premium” mobile photography cameras. That camera alone will bump the ipad’s price and people might just settle with the m1. It doesn’t need a 48mp but what it needs is a dedicated night mode and (probably) zoom. The cameras are just trash. You still have come close to your professor’s presentation to get a decent pic. It’s nice if you can just snap a photo while taking notes without worrying if there are any salvageable picture with details.

    • @Speed49 I think the notch on a Mac looks strange too, I don’t mind a small bezel that hides the camera. Maybe the iPhone Island will go to the iPad and Mac.

    • Yes dynamic island has many bugs in iPhone . No point in adding to iPad . We need uninterrupted screen . We don’t need stupid features.

    • What if it was dynamic borders that goes all screen w the island to expanding into borders for palm rejection or to have into wrap around the borders while using the iPad, I can see some form of implementation

  1. Yes, WAIT for the new iPad Pros to come out, so you can get the existing m1 iPad Pro at a discount. The biggest victim will be the current iPad Air model.

  2. I personally will probably hold off on upgrading considering I just recently got an iPad 9. The only way I will probably consider upgrading is if the iPad 10 becomes compatible with a magic keyboard and the price of that magic keyboard drops in price due to a newer model for the new iPad Pros is released.

  3. IMO there is no good reason for dynamic island on iPad Pro nor a notch I like the slate of glass look and some bezels are just fine. Good video as always guess we have to wait and see, if they do a notch or island i may finally get the M1 iPad Pro as a last option without for a few years. Currently rocking the 2020 iPad Pro but would like the stage manager and monitor support going forward so may have to get the M1.

  4. I have a 2021 2TB 12.9” iPad Pro which I use mainly with Magic Keyboard to run my business, to play music, plus photo and video editing -and a 256gb 11” which I use as tablet mainly for leisure. I think any new iPad Pro this year will just be a small spec bump like in 2020 and I have no intention of upgrading. What I want is the 14” iPad Pro for productivity, but what is rumoured this year holds no appeal.

I hate the idea of the dynamic island on iPad Pro.

  5. i would love if they could allow the ipad both horizontal and vertical orientation on the keyboard backing. That would helpful for portrait orientation typing, which we simply cant do with notebooks. A4/papersize layouts become more real-to-life on the 12.9, which is really helpful.

  6. I have the iPad 9, it has the home button which is an awesome feature!

I just use mine to what videos and to read. I got it for $279 at Best Buy during Labor Day weekend, the price was the best feature!

  7. iPads are my favorite devices, I have 3 of them. I rarely use my MacBook anymore since I purchased my 2 newest iPads this past spring. I brought the 12.9 M1 and the Mini 6 to add to my 3 year old Air 3. These should cover me for at least the next 2 years

  8. Truly hoping for a horizontal camera placement…can’t believe we have not seen it yet. But afraid it may not make it until the rumored 14 inch iPad Pro…

  9. I do not think the new iPad Pro will get the dynamic island. But, I do think it will get smaller bezels with a notch like the MacBook Pro.

  10. Should have oled screen not mini-led in 2022 . Upgrade the camera it’s 799+ 11’. 1k+ 12.9’ portrait mode etc (yes I take pics of things with iPad)

  11. the only one I care about is the entry version ipad, I only use a tablet for consumption …right now Im considering the mini 6 and air 5 but will wait to see what the 10th gen brings and cost

  12. I have the iPad 9th gen, 256g – I use it for media consumption and for displaying sheet music 95% of the time. Bring a professional musician, it’s handy for having all of my music here instead of relying on music books. I also use it for simple video editing as well. For all other applications, I use my M1 MacBook.

I’m perfectly fine with my iPad. No need to upgrade for now and the foreseeable future.

  13. I just bought the iPad 9 this week because my iPad mini 2 died it was 10 years old only stopped because of ghost touch. It will be interesting to see how new iPads last in the next 5-10 years.
