A power button makes a lot of sense if it turns on your laptop in clamshell mode.
Or just bang on the keyboard a few times until the laptop turns on
The docks have neither been cheaper nor they’ve improved in quality. Most of them cannot take the load for the ports they offer but cost very high. I bought 4, thrown 4, all costly. Not buying another one
I’ve had great success with the Caldigit Thunderbolt 3 dock. If you haven’t tried it, I would recommend it. If you have, then you have terrible luck or ridiculous tech demands haha
1:03 The way the aluminum frame curves on the sides looks really awful. It looks more like dents than it being done on purpose.
Why can’t any of these docks have a bunch of TB or USB C ports? I don’t want or need the old style USB A ports. I must be missing something that prevents it.
I’m using mine with my 16″ MacBook Pro. That thing has 4 TB3 ports so I really don’t need more. The dock eliminates the need for a bunch of extra dongles. If the dock was full of TB3 ports, I doubt a single computer port would be able to handle the bandwidth of a maxed TB3 port AND other peripherals too.
Seems like your hawking product in all your new videos… Please go back to the old format — offering non-paid editorials.
