What do you guys and gals think about Apple Watch sleep tracking? Would you be willing to wear your Apple Watch while sleeping? Why or why not? Sound off in the comments and let me know what you think.
i use Pillow as a sleep trucker with my apple watch on my wrist
9to5Mac what took them so long. I wear my apple watch while sleeping, but currently using 3rd party apps for sleep tracking. Which is not that good.
9to5Mac No. I have many Apple products but I find the Apple Watch a hideous outdated design and won’t purchase one until it’s redesigned.
I love my Apple Watch and I would love sleep tracking but I’m not too sure about the logistics of charging. I charge my watch at night so.
9to5Mac are use two different third-party sleep tracking apps. They work beautifully. Curious how Apple sleep tracking will stick up to these two that I already use.
No, because in the night I have to recharge the Apple watch!
Zveebo 30Min? How lame…
I use AutoSleep and wear my watch in the night. No problem, I charge it at work or before I go to sleep.
I use AutoSleep too. Only charge it when I take bath. And I bath twice a day
I currently wear my watch while sleeping and track my sleep using AutoSleep app for Apple Watch.
Depends! Will battery handle 24h life ??
I’d be paranoid that I accidentally trigger the emergency SOS while I’m tossing and turning. So that’s a definite no on my end lol
The Apple Watch is great to wear overnight – using it as a silent vibrating alarm work extremely well. I just charge it when I am in the shower in the morning which easily provides enough charge for a full day.
Zveebo I do exactly the same!! Turn on Flightmode and than on the charger. Will charge it to 99% easily!
Same here
Why wasn’t this announced at the WWDC event? Could it be because it would be a Series 5 exclusive?
No I won‘t because I don‘t care and I want a charged watch in the morning.
I hope this will be available on the Series 4. One of the biggest missing features for me (coming from a Garmin).
No. i don’t see why I need watch (or other similar products as they try before) to tell me my sleep is good or bad.
a couple of time is used the apple watch. my serie 4. battery holds 2 days. but if i would do this every night i had to charge it every second day at work.
it sound cool and i would do it a couple of times. but at the moment i’m looking at the Withings Sleep
i can never sleep with a watch on, hands get sweaty after work.
Who sleeps with their watch on? I think something like WIthings sleep tracker that goes directly underneath your mattress is a better tool for sleep tracking.
I fall asleep with my phone in my hand sometimes a watch on my wrist wouldn’t be a problem
Apple ring for sleep tracker that would be much better.
I often wear my watch at night, as I use it as a nightlight when I have to check on the kids at night. As for sleep-tracking I have used the app pillow before, but I found it tracking results questionable
As for charging, I mostly charge it when I shower (can’t use it in the shower anyway) and/or an hour or two before bedtime.
I always sleep wearing my Apple Watch and i charge it when i am having a shower in the morning and in the evening. So i look forward when i can get a sleep tracking on Apple Watch! ))
It’s crazy that Apple haven’t implemented this yet. Always a step behind the competition.
I have been using pillow app for months already and the Apple Watch doesn’t bother me at all .
