  1. I still love my M1 MBP with touchbar. All I really wish was it had as standard, is an SD card slot. Would make it easier to move files without a dongle.

    • @ted westhaven Me neither, it was quite useless. Switched to Surface Pro 8 last year and having full touch screen and pen is so much better. I make mobile games and game art, so being able to directly test the game and draw assets on touch screen is convenient.

  2. I’d love to see a larger size Air. I’d also love to see a more premium Air. There’s a user that Apple doesn’t actually have a machine properly aimed at – the person who wants all the goodies from the new Macbook Pros, but does not need a M2 Pro processor (and would prefer the extra battery life and lower weight available with a standard M2 processor). A high end “executive” laptop.

Maybe, maybe the 15in Air could be this?

The faster storage. The better webcam. Mini-LED screen with pro-motion. Why do I need to buy a processor that gives me zero discernible advantage for my workflow, and instead saddles me with extra weight and worse battery life to get this?

  3. If true, this might be the one I finally upgrade to! The extra screen real-estate is the reason why I bought my MBP 16 2019! MBP Air 15 inch and Mac Mini M2 Pro is power house combo instead of just buying a single 16 inch MBP.

  4. I like the idea of a 15″ MBA the extra screen real estate would really be nice. I don’t care if it gains a few ounces of weight making it sturdier for the bigger 15″ screen. BUT Apple keep the headphone jack and maybe put one more USB-C port on the other side of the MBA.

    • It’s simply going to be consistent with the M2 Air 13in. Same ports, they’ve already doubled down on the headphone jack with support for high impedance headphones and being an Air it shouldn’t be too heavy. A good competitor for the Surface Laptop 5 15in.

  5. I might be tempted to get a 15” MBA. I currently have a 17” LG Gram that is great for productivity, but there’s certain apps I use that are not available on Windows (e.g. sketch, notability, Xcode). But I’d want 16GB unified memory and at least a 512GB SSD, and those upgrades would probably make it cross-over into MBP territory…

  6. Very tempting for the bigger screen, but my M1 Air is still so fast and good that unless it comes out with the M3 chip, I’ll wait till it does.

  7. I made a big mistake, twice! My M1 and my M2 Mac both failed with display issues within months. The displays are extremely fragile and not even durable enough for an average user like myself. Apple Support was a nightmare, They said they thought it was “crumbs” on the keyboard that broke the display but they actually wouldn’t release exactly why the screens failed. Crumbs??? They wouldn’t cover the final repair on the M1 but covered the M2 only because I purchased Apple care. The M2 was only 1 month old! I only purchased Apple Care on the M2 because my M1 display failed 3 times! I still have Macs from 2013 that are working just fine but I’m seeing the M1 & 2 are flawed by design. I believe they are making the screens too thin to be durable and Apple is making us pay for their design mistakes. This was a really bad investment of my time and money. I’ve been a huge Apple fan for many years but now sadly I would never trust Apple enough to buy another.

    • Now imagine them breaking on the 13th month, one month outside of warranty.

      Yes, that happened to me.

  8. Bought the 13inch M2 MBA last week but return it after few days. I realised that a new MBA is coming soon. Hopefully M3✌️✌️. 13inch is perfect size and weight. Will definitely try 15inch, hopefully it’s not too heavy.

  9. I will definitely consider a 15 in MacBook Air. The price will be a major consideration. It will also be interesting to see if there are any changes or refinements.

  10. MBP has gotten super expensive so I am definitely interested in the 15” MBA. I would love to see it with an M2 Pro option too. Yet if the RAM and storage upgrades push it to the $3K mark, I wonder if it would just make more sense to cough up a little extra to get a 14” mid-range configured MBP.

    • It could be good seller for apple if priced right against the samsung pro 16…..I for one am interested in the battery life and the sound of the speakers. Watch reviews before buying though….
