until the thunderbold IV will be introduced this solution has no sense.. as the thunderbold’s 3 bandwidth is about the speed of PCIe x4 not PCIe 16 so you won’t use 30% of the graphic card like vega64…
In my opinion, it makes complete sense if you want to game on your Mac mini. What are your options otherwise? I’m guessing you’re going to say “don’t get a Mac mini” Well, that’s not who this is for. This is for Mac mini owners who want to game.

It’s pricey. For sure. This isn’t for everyone, but if you already own a 2018 Mac mini and monitor, you’re almost there.
Just build a hackintosh and get the full power of that GPU…
Hackintosh has its place, but not everyone wants to go there. Mac mini is so clean.

two full featured operating systems in one elegant machine. Intel Nuc is horrible and it has only two TB3 ports, also on the Nuc we can install Mac Os but with a lot of tweaking. Just curious how to run Nvidia gpus. If it works I will buy the new Mini Mac.

I have near the same setup, just with an RX580 inside my Razer Core X. Running Windows 10 through bootcamp and loving the gaming. Click one button and I’m back to cutting 4K video on the MacOS side of the house. Just a great dual purpose system!
