Agreed on most counts. I love the design of the new iMac and think it’s going to fly off the shelves. I too was a little underwhelmed by the specs but it is an entry-level desktop after all. Even still, the M1 and screen resolution and being able to drive an external 6k monitor is seriously impressive.
Until I see real, useful creative apps for the iPad, I won’t be upgrading my 9.7” iPad Pro anytime soon. But I think something bigger is on the horizon. Why make it that powerful for no reason?

You and I both know this is the starter Computer with the basics. More enhanced models are coming not just the 27-32′ iMac but this one too I’d say at least by the fall of this year.

Me too, that was my first thought.
I feel mixed about it. They say the reason was to keep the front color less distracting since heavily saturated colors tend to grab attention.
The new iMac to me is apple saying, “yes, we certainly could just make an iPad Pro that runs MacOS, we almost did… but we’re not gonna”

I got a feeling they’re equipping iPad Pro with M1 b/c they’ll be doing some serious software updates to iPadOS at WWDC.
I still don’t know if I should wait for them to release a new MacBook this year or just buy this years MacBook

Probably not until September at least as that was when it was updated last year.
iPad is very powerful if it had Mac OS, at the moment it’s just a screen to watch Netflix
