Why are you leaving us??? noooooo
Can apple please make the smaller Magic Keyboard in black because why have a black Magic Mouse but not a black smaller Magic Keyboard surely I’m not the only one that is confused why apple have done this.
they should’ve done that years ago
@The Aikatsu Fan exactly I have a midnight M2 MacBook Air. I’m think about getting a keyboard and mouse but it would look weird using the black Magic Mouse with a white Magic Keyboard.
Why are you leaving???? You are the only reason 9to5mac YouTube channel is worth watching
Can’t agree more!
I agree, I don’t really care for the new guy even when he had his own channel.
He has a personal channel, cars with miles I believe
I was going to say the same thing. Plus his videos are in beautifully made HDR. Everyone else is boring in comparison
He records for MKBHD now
I love the way this looks. I wish Apple made this.
Best wishes for whatever is next for you! Take care and thanks for the great content!
2160p with HDR
Quality content.
Thanks!
This is as bad as when Dieter left the Verge. I only subscribed to 9to5 Mac for you man, really enjoyed your videos and style of informing us Mac people.
Best of luck to you! Goodbye as well to 9to5.
Why not put this inside of another keyboard like a KeyChron?
If there’s anything like this that exist… I’d love to know
@Mueez Qureshi I looked into doing it a few months ago…even posted about it on macrumors and some other forums, and I didn’t really find much interest in terms of anyone willing to help out, or even really interested in the idea in genera, lol. if you would be willing to help out or if you know somebody who is good with this kinda thing let me know, I’m down for sure to explore and test and spend some time on it, but I don’t think I’m going to get very far on my own. The way I see it there are two options — attempt to adapt the Keychron (or other brand) case and switches and use the Apple controller / brain with them, or option B have the Touch ID button and controller mounted inside another KB and have it be two separate devices. Option B would almost certainly be a lot easier, but then there’s the power concerns…not really a good idea to have a lightning cable permanently connected to it. I can’t imagine it draws that much power, shouldn’t be too hard to connect it to the main battery. Oh well, those are just my initial thoughts. Option A is almost certainly going to either be impossible or take an insanely long time.
The big problem is that the Touch ID Magic Keyboard is a pile of trash. The actual keyboard is one of the worst desktop keyboards I’ve ever used. The key caps are super cheap plastic that developed a sheen on the caps within weeks of using it and the switches are junk. It’s no match for a real custom mechanical keyboard.
Good luck Miles and thanks u
Oh man! Hope that you’ll still be on YouTube
Definitely will be! – Miles
This is awesome. I bought a magic keyboard just for the Touch ID functionality. As a keyboard, it’s a downgrade from my old Logitech K380.
You were without a doubt the best on 9to5Mac
Thank you for the great content, Miles! Wishing you all success.
Good job bro
