Fusion Drive is a major bottleneck on my current iMac, an upgrade to the new iMac with SSD is going to be awesome
And they need to give us a 1080p camera with Face ID! With it being rumoured to have T2 chip it’ll definitely have an SSD as that chip can’t run on fusion drives

What do you think is the best configuration of a MacBook Pro 16” for video editing? I was looking at the 2.3GHz 8-core, 32GB memory. Thoughts?
That’s what I’ve got and it crushes almost anything you throw at it in Final Cut, 32gb of RAM is a must but maybe look at a GPU upgrade rather than a CPU upgrade.
don’t get the other 8 core cpu upgrade, maybe go for the 5500m 8gb gpu upgrade or even the 5600m if you have the money

Target display mode! I SECOND THAT!
Target Display Mode used to be a great way of saving money on a new monitor, but now that 5K monitors are in the mix, it is CRIMINAL that all those pixels are wasted on an out-of-date CPU while my new GPU is champing at the bit to make use of two 5K displays..
It’d be very thoughtful of Apple to include Target Display Mode. Though I still don’t see that happening since apple actually sells standalone lg displays, and the iMac displays are pretty much the same as that of LG’s.
