    • The caldigit is a much better dock. I had nothing but issues trying to drive 2 4k monitors at 60hz with the elgato dock.

    • Chris Dreiling good to know! Cuz dock delivered week earlier over my 16” mbp still being prepared which i couldn’t test them atm.

  1. Would have liked to see a more thorough testing like eGPU daisychain speeds, SD card speeds, stresstest (whereas every port is used simultaneously), the charging speed from the system information window – power tab in MacOS and a quick test if Windows 10 laptops support it.

  2. The question I have about these dongles and docking stations is this: What if I have an old FireWire camcorder and I have to find a way to connect it to my Mac?

  3. Hello, can someone please tell me, the cheap MacBook pro docks available on Amazon are thunderbolt or just regular USB C docks?

  4. I have a 2011 iMac with a second monitor hooked up in my (one) Thunderbolt connection. If I hook this up to my Thunderbolt on my iMac, can I still hook up my second monitor AND an external SSD drive?

Right now I can’t hook up an external SSD, I mean I can use the 800mb firewire (I think), but I won’t get all the speed available from the SSD.

  5. Why show Blackmagic result as a thumbnail ?
    Cannot see the values.
Why show Speedtest results if your not actually showing the results ? ?
