Woot I recently bought caldit ts3 plus instead!
The caldigit is a much better dock. I had nothing but issues trying to drive 2 4k monitors at 60hz with the elgato dock.

Would have liked to see a more thorough testing like eGPU daisychain speeds, SD card speeds, stresstest (whereas every port is used simultaneously), the charging speed from the system information window – power tab in MacOS and a quick test if Windows 10 laptops support it.

Hello, can someone please tell me, the cheap MacBook pro docks available on Amazon are thunderbolt or just regular USB C docks?
CalDigit USB-C Pro Doc https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VL675DT/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_10?smid=A2FQ9N6DCGCRDZ&psc=1. It’s their latest dock, has a bit fewer ports then CalDigit T3plus but overall is similar to it.
What about FireWire. There are adapters for TB3?

I have a 2011 iMac with a second monitor hooked up in my (one) Thunderbolt connection. If I hook this up to my Thunderbolt on my iMac, can I still hook up my second monitor AND an external SSD drive?
Right now I can’t hook up an external SSD, I mean I can use the 800mb firewire (I think), but I won’t get all the speed available from the SSD.
Why show Blackmagic result as a thumbnail ?
