1. Wishlist for iOS 17: 1. A 5th row for Numbers/ special characters in the keyboard. 2. Enter passcode to shut down! In case your iPhone gets lost/ stolen this gains you some time to locate it before the person that found it shuts it down. 3. Split-screen Multitasking for Pro Max / Ultra versions of iPhone. 4. Support of the Apple Pencil for the top end iPhone Ultra. 5. The ability to lock apps natively with Face ID / Touch ID.

2. I’d love to see smart card reader support and user profiles for iPadOS. It’s getting there… albeit slowly.

3. I find it BAFFLING that I cannot place an icon/widget where I want it. Couldn’t there just be a switch in settings to turn off the “ios rearranging”?

5. When i talk about iOS, there is no much i want. But with iPadOS 17 there is many actually, like full finder, xcode for iPad, a better stage manage usage and choice for a built-in terminal support.

6. Folder in a folder for apps would be nice to really organize

7. Blank space on home screens is a must. Would also be great if we could add app icons to Lock Screen as if they were widgets, expand sports live activities and make them easier to find. Expand uses for the dynamic island make it possible to see multiple items up there (sports scores are hidden if you’re also playing music).

8. Android has almost all these features now. I realized over 10 years ago that I was only doing things that required a jailbreak and the Cydia store but android had natively. I ended up switching to android and having a way better experience. But if most android manufacturers remove headphone Jack’s and SD cards from their mid tier and up phones I might consider coming back to ios

9. How about a notification center where notifications remain persistently. Tired of swiping everything away and then wanting to pull up a notification later.

   Also the ability to hard press an app icon and clear the notification badge would be great

10. These are nice additions that would be welcome for sure! Being able to freely place apps but also changing grid size would be nice like 5×6 instead of 4×6 or 5×5 etc. I would love to see proper stability period. iOS 16 on iPhone 14 pro series has not been that great for smoothness with pro motion. My experience I’ve experienced bugs where it stutters scrolling through home screens and occasionally unlocking the phone. Overall smoothness of pro motion needs to be fixed.

11. My iOS 17 wish list
    1. Improved lock screen and home screen widgets.
    2. Rearranging apps in Apple library.
    3. Bring back Dark Mode wallpapers.
    4. Reverse wireless charging
    5. New ringtones/text tones.
    6. Multi user support.
    7. Bring back landscape mode.
    8. Bring back cover Flow in music.
    9. Now playing integration for maps (the ability to adjust what you’re listening to while driving, music or podcasts.
    10. Secondary apps: a picture in picture or minimal multitasking (need a note during safari or want to post a picture to messages, a smaller window will appear and the change/flip/swap from primary to secondary is seamless. Max or plus models may benefit from true multitasking but for mini or regular size iPhones, I wonder
    11. Live widgets on Home Screen
    12. Retooled notifications: dynamic island notifications for more devices. Notifications for AirPods are now smaller and don’t cover the keyboard or dock and moved to the top of the display. This will help transition old iPhone users into getting use to the new dynamic island which will likely become new standard for iPhones starting with the iPhone 15 or 16. (iPhone 8 and iPhone X will still likely get support, but it might be their last)

    20. Disabling Bluetooth and Wi-Fi properly from control centre like earlier versions of iOS Turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi from control centre

    23. Change Low power notification To banner notification instead of full pop-up notification

    25. Bring notifications to Dynamic Island

    iOS 17 should focus on stability rather than major features because IOS 16 has been so buggy for so many people

12. I think the same devices that support iOS 16 welcome to support iOS 17 because Apple dropped lots of iPhones with iOS 16 and iOS 16 has been so buggy for a lot of people

13. iOS 16 is improving stability, with iOS 16.3.1 and iOS 16.4

14. All these ideas are brilliant, and the end user would greatly benefit… which is why Apple will never do it.
    I’ve been an iPhone user since iOS 3, and home screen adaptability has been on everyone’s wishlist since 2009.
    If they haven’t implemented it by now, they probably won’t…
    Just being real.

15. A wish list for me is True Dark Mode not just gray things out

16. After waiting and anticipating Apple should finally add the Greek Language to Siri. It’s outrageous that they add non important and non popular languages instead of one of the most precious and famous one!

17. What I would like to see is when an update comes from and device , it will update all devices on that network . For instance if there is an update for the iPhone , iPod, HomePod appleTv and you select update on your iPhone or MacBook for instance , if these devices are turned on at that moment all those devices will get there update . This would stop you having to go to these devices individually to update them .
