There is no apple car coming to market
Why in the world would Apple jump into an ultra-competitive market with razor thin margins? It’s a lot more profitable to license CarPlay.

They stand a better chance at success from making iToilets than iCars
They need to work on an SUV that you can put a manual wheelchair in. It is hard to find vehicles that you can easily put a wheelchair in the very back of it. The ideal model to copy is the Ford flex which has been discontinued. Apple needs to build a vehicle similar to this model. I would definitely think 30 to 50,000 would be more affordable than $100,000 or more.
I’ll stick with my Mercedes EQS. Although I won’t completely rule out Apple‘s car, it better be better than Mercedes for me to ever consider it.
By the time Apple Car is released we’ll all be using teleports.

I imagined Apple would go a different route, not selling automobiles, but mobility (subscriptions). So a monthly fee to be able to use their self driving taxis anytime. But that of course would need self-driving working… too bad.
Yeah I feel like there’s something else up Apple’s sleeve with this. They consistently make very smart business decisions. This doesn’t seem so great on the surface. Too many holes.
Something major is still missing from the big picture here.
Apple wouldn’t dig into this space without doing something transformative. I also think they’re smart enough to consider the risk of negative impact to their brand by blatantly targeting a wealthier market with a car pricing out 90% of the working population. And yes, I understand that’s the go-to strategy for EV manufacturers to lower production costs, but that’s not really applicable here. Apple isn’t a start up. It doesn’t have to approach the launch of an EV like a tiny company running purely on venture capital. Apple has like $160 billion in cash. They eat companies like Rivian for lunch. They could literally buy Tesla (not all in cash, obviously).
No, there’s something else big here. Maybe it’s a major partnership. Like maybe the reason Toyota is taking so long to release their own EVs is because they really did sign a deal with Apple that just isn’t ready to take shape yet.
I dunno. But either way, it’ll be fun to see how it all plays out.
I’d LOVE if Apple did a deal with Toyota.

Just forget it, this will likely be another Dyson EV, too ambitious to be profitable.

I heard the complete opposite where they push it back.
In response to some of your questions on an Apple EV, I wouldn’t even consider looking at an Apple EV. Tesla is far and away the world leader in EV technology and remain so for many years to come. When we switch to an EV, it will be a Tesla. In fact, if Tesla ever offers a smartphone, we’ll be among the first on the waiting list.
Interestingly, you mention picking Tesla over Apple’s EV because they are the leaders. But, to pick Tesla’s smartphone (if they ever make one) over Apple doesn’t make sense.
I only consider Tesla because I don’t have to deal with the nasty dealership. I prefer KIA EV or PHEV.
I don’t believe this for a second. They may come out with a replacement for cars’ UIs but there’s no way they will build a physical car.
I’m not interested in any autonomous driving but I am highly interested in an EV and if Apple is going to make one I would be very interested in it. If they let me purchase it with my Apple Card for no interest equal monthly payments and 3% cash back then I’m all in.
Appreciate the video, but this is a complete fantasy. Why would Apple enter the car market?
Pivoting from a consumer electronics company to an EV company would be extremely risky, even for a company as large as Apple. Sure they have entered new markets in the past (e.g. iPhone), but in many ways they have been logical steps. The technology gains they made shrinking their laptops and iPods made it easier for them to design a phone that they could actually deliver to market.
A car is a gigantic leap, not a logical step.
I want my Apple iCar to look like the first generation iPhone.

Can you imagine how bad an Apple car would be. One year you’d have one style charger, next year something different…if the car breaks down you can’t fix it you’d have to buy a brand new car.
2026 release, definitely can’t wait
