I think it would be a lot less confusing to use 14 max name. People are used to max meaning a bigger version at least thats my opinion.
If it’s just software, apple should make a setting that allows people to either have it as the two separate pieces, or black out the centre. We should have the choice

I had a feeling they were gonna do a sort of their back to the og iPhone 4 look for the cutout similar to the ear piece
I like the original design more but either way it’s still better than the notch we have now. This current notch really takes up so much space.
As for this Camera UI rework, personally I’m not a fan. When things are shifted to the top it makes using the phone with one hand a pain.
It’s like the design teams have stopped using phones like a normal person. Hard uncomfortable edges and now this.
I hope the display is taller. It looks like that pill will be down further than the notch so it’s going to interfere with content more than the 13pro notch already does.
Pill + hole punch = clutter. I prefer the clean look of an elongated pill. I think using the blacked out space in between for the privacy indicators would be an efficient use of space.
The pill shape is welcome.led would be nice as an notification indicator. Ever since those dots has been introduced, I thought that would be ideal. Especially for those that don’t want to use the always on display but would prefer the dots as notification led. Like on the Apple Watch! I turn off the always on display because it eats away at the battery very fast. Maybe the tech has improved. With the phones we might experience better usage without the bothersome drainage.
