Thank you guys for watching and supporting this channel. What do you think about the base model 2020 MacBook Air? Is it worth $999?
The $999 MacBook Air is the cheapest laptop Apple sells, so that intrigued me. Usually I go with maxed out specs, but I wanted to see how Apple’s most basic laptop performed.
I’ll have a full review soon, but as the story goes, it all depends on what you do and how you use your computer. The MacBook Air, even the dual core base model, is an excellent computer for a lot of things, but it can be frustrating if you try to make it do more than it was designed to do!
I originally bought the $999 model to telework but after reading and watching reviews I decided to exchange it and upgrade to quad-core for $100. The base model served me well in the short time I had it but I figured it couldn’t hurt to have the extra CPU buffer.

I was hoping that they’d give 32Gig RAM .. disappointed.
why? if you want a powerhouse go for a the macbook pro, the 2020 goes up to 64gb ram. that’s what i never got, people expecting macbook AIR to be more powerful when the pro is there. now they actually match with pro standards, people still want more. just buy a macbook pro mate.
how is it when you try to stream 4k videos on a tv or display does it also start lagging like with the connection to the pro display ?

Some people say that CleanMyMac damages system files. Is that true?
You’re confusing it with MacKeeper. They are not the same. CleanMyMac is safe, and signed by Apple.
I was going to get a new iPhone, but if this MacBook is pretty good I might have to get the laptop. I haven’t had a computer in years and have not backed up my iPhone in years.
