I’m excited for a pair of these with my 85” tv
I’m so glad to see a larger HomePod again! Unfortunately, it’s keeping the same price with not a lot of upgrades to the internals. Hopefully it sounds just as good if not better than the original. The sound detection and climate sensors are a nice touch though. Unfortunately, the climate centers won’t fully eliminate the need for dedicated temperature and humidity sensors in HomeKit since they are affected by the HomePod playing.
@Samuel Michaud well, that’s not a fair comparison. These 25-50$ speakers are way waaaay worse than the HPminis, and offer much less functionality (matter homehub, U1, humidity/temp sensors…). The problem is the pricing of the big HP. 300$ is just too much, especially when you need two for a way better sound experience. Maybe a bundle for 399$?
Same here man. It was too expensive. That hurt it. I just hope that with fewer tweeters and hardware, it’s as loud with the same or better quality.

@theGnome Apple can do some pretty amazing things with their computational audio. My biggest concern would be the S series chip as opposed to the a series chip used in the original.

I noticed a couple updates ago with iOS, my XR has definitely been draining battery faster, also been having Siri issues where it changes its voice randomly when using Apple Maps. Also a little bit of issues with swiping as well.
APPLE ! Battery life needs to be improved !
My iPhone 13 Pro Max still has 100% capacity after more than a year, but I use a Chargie to limit nightly charging to 90%
I have the 13 pro using 16.2 and am at 92% battery health from the settings. I can get about 7.5-8.5 hours of screen on time for 100% usage, so not bad. It’s still a great phone and will keep it till either there’s enough of a difference between it and the next iPhone to warrant an upgrade, or it doesn’t take the latest software. Based on how battery health is showing, I’ll need to replace the battery before upgrading

Guys #help me plz.After I updated to ios16.3 on my ipad9 some application such as App Store ,some games are saying not connected to Internet even in settings net connection is not there so I can’t erase all iPad data ,but YouTube ,fb,safari is running smoothly.What to do ? Plz help

iPadOS (m1 iPad pro) file size updating from 16.2 to 16.3 is just 500MB, not your 4.79GB. I’m guessing the OS you’re currently on is throwing off what you’re seeing by a huge margin from what a normal use case will experience.

It’s a great update, but the sensor doesn’t work very well. I tried moving it from one room to my back porch which is 45°. According to the home app as I was monitoring it the temperature fell 10° from 70 to 60° in 2 hours. That’s too slowwwwww.
As a quick test, I created an automation so when the temp gets to 60° to turn on my Hallway light. As it turns out that the automations for the temperature sensor don’t work at all. Maybe the software dev team should had beta tested this feature before release.
Hopefully Apple will fix this before the HomePod 2nd Gen comes out next Friday. All in all the temp in the pod mini is 1 or 2° of my house hold thermostat when placed close to each other. Since I rent, I was hoping that I could use a Pod Mini temperature for a base automation this summer. When I can tell my Eve smart outlet to turn on my window air conditioner unit.
