1. I hope siri will support multiple languagees at once like google assistant

2. I am not worried about Stage Manager at all. I tried in on my M1 iPad Pro in Beta for a few minutes and quickly found that is not how I want to use the iPad and switched off to go back to using full screen/split screen. It just looks messy, and does not fully utilise the screen space. Yes, it was buggy too, but I guess that will be fixed before general release. So for those that cannot use, due to older iPads – don’t worry, you are missing nothing!

   For me the improved File Manager is a lot more important upgrade

   • I am using stage manager every single day and m not a tech-tuber. Would say with the external monitor, the feature is really useful. While only on the iPad i.e. when I am not in my office, I still use stage manager anyway. It is an 11” screen but I have got habituated with it’s workflow. I would say, once u get the stable version of it, there’s no turning back. It crashes and resprings once per day with no data loss whatsoever. Some apps are not optimised as well with the stage manager workflow. But that’s okay… with every iteration of the beta release it’s getting there where it ought to be.

   • Yes for a platform advertised on a computer replacement the file management is just awful

3. You said it! Just give me external display support for my 2018 ipad pro, who needs stage manger anyways!!

   • @David Jacobs Agreed, no one really cares about stage manager, they just care that it adds monitor support. Been trying everything to get monitor support for the past 2 years (switching monitors, shiftscreen, ect..), super sad I haven’t been able to get it.

   • I don’t know who you guys have been talking to but most of the people I know want Stage Manager.

4. In my opinion stage manager only makes sense on bigger/external displays. Maybe on 12,9inch iPad. On all the smaller iPads, the screen will become unorganized and cluttered very fast.

5. As a teacher using an iPad on an external monitor, the letterboxing is absolutely horrendous. Especailyl on a 4:3 screen or projector as the image still won’t transfer and either has letterboxing and vertical black bars or distortion. If there are techincal limitations that restrict Stage Manager tothe M1 chip, then fine but surely scaling correctly to an external monitor should be feasible for a 2020 ipad pro. Such a shame

6. I currently don’t have an iPad at the moment. My last iPad was the 3rd generation mini. And at that point. I ended up just getting a MacBook Pro that’s now 10 years old. But, to be fair. I plan to get the next iPad Pro when apple announces it.

7. 6:21 my 11” M1 pro also got the display scaling, not sure if its available on 2020 or 2018 one

   Well its not the first time they released multiple version, back in the iOS 9 era they got about 3 or 4 versions, and its about multi tasking too

   • this feature is not available on my iPad Pro 2018 12.9, despite the size of the display, I would still like more information to fit on it

8. having M1 exclusive features for the iPad seems too soon to me. Usually features are available to older models for quite a while, and right now with the speed they’re upgrading computers and iPads it’s just too much money to try and stay current. My computers usually last me a good 7 to 8 years, I had a late 2012 iMac which I upgraded when the M1 iMac came out. Also being a family of six I’m looking at getting my wife a MacBook Pro, but now I’m stuck waiting to try and decide when and what model will last the longest. The same thing goes with our phones. I had an iPhone 6+ from the year it launched until it’s screen physically came off it’s body and that’s when the iPhone XR came out and that’s what I have now. I also have an iPad Pro that’s a few years old now, and my wife got the one right before the M1 iPad Pro, and it’s just upsetting to see her iPad which is only a couple years old won’t get all the features of the newest iPad OS.

   • i agree. there is no point in trying to stay current. cuz you’ll end up going broke! haha. stick to what works for you, what helps you and what you enjoy using. If we werent making content covering it, then I would still be with an iphone 11, m1 macbook air and 2018 ipad pro

9. Using an IPad Air 4 here and stage manager is a bummer but can live without but I wish I could scale my display externally like what is the reason.

11. I wonder if it’s possible to use stage manager on a non M1 iPad by jailbreaking the iPad. I know jailbreak is not mainstream anymore but it feels like this is the only way to get stage manager

Regarding the issue about stage manager and external display support only being available on the M1 iPad, it’s interesting that there is no where near as much controversy when Apple releases a new hardware feature. Everyone accepts that the introduction of the M1 chip was such a huge leap forward, it should not be a complete surprise that there will be features that can only be supported by the M1. Yes, if I had an older iPad that did not support some new features I really wanted I may be a little upset, but I would be no more or less upset if Apple released a new hardware feature I really wanted too.

13. A15 ipads have to get some form of window multitasking. Especially when the ipad 10th gen comes out. It would make 0 sense to have all these new features not come to the 10th anniversary iteration of the og ipad. The features should be shared across the board, of there line up.

    • Well it didnt happen & its an A14 Chip but there on Sale for $399 get em while you can! P

I just got the iPad eighth generation not that long ago, which I think came out in 2020 if I remember, so I wouldn’t use anything like stage manager or anything like that myself, because I just like to use my tablet as a tablet OK? Don’t need all those fancy bells and whistles, although I think it would actually be pretty nice to have the feature on iMessage where you get to unsend the message and edit it and stuff. And I just wish that they would have brought lock screen customization to the iPad as well, but I think that’s only exclusive to the iPhone and I only have an iPhone 6s which unfortunately for me, does not support the latest iOS 16.

15. Apple recently announced that stage manager is coming to some of the older iPads and is no longer restricted to just m1’s (tho I believe certain aspects of it still are)

I didn’t mention that exactly, my problem is; As you know, M1 and M2 iPad models have an external display feature, but A12Z and Ipad pro do not have this feature. however, at launch, the A12Z processor was said to be faster than most computers. In short, I have a product with a warranty of more than 1 year, but I cannot use its new features. Apple has repeatedly piled up iPad models, and the generational power gap is huge. This difference should not affect us and the ipad pro should come with a model with A12Z processor or I will be more upset. External display support should come to the ipad pro 2nd generation product.

17. Dear Apple Corporation, iPad pro models with M1 and M2 processors offer external display support. The A12Z processor, on the other hand, should be given 4K monitor support or QHD monitor or FULLHD external display support, not 6K monitor support. users are very victims, they are in favor of closing this deficiency, at least as I said, it seems that this feature should be offered to users, even in full HD.
