  1. ‘Pinned Tab’ feature in Safari is still buggy. In newly created Tab Groups, the pinned tabs dont shrink in size… which is really annoying since it defeats the entire purpose.

  2. I have a beta of iPadOS 16.1 my my M1 iPad Pro and I realised that Stage manager is a little bit different on this beta. Previously when you opened 3 windows it tried to reposition windows to make all three windows available and visible. Now the physics have changed, you can open three windows and use two of them without seeing the third one. It’s pretty cool, I love that! Stage Manager becomes more and more usable and smooth.

  3. Just downloaded stage manager on my M1 Pro. It’ seems really stable, stage manager is impressive but I would never compensate and use this over my MacBook Air for multitasking. Mac OS X is still the best when it comes to running multiple programs.

    • Hi, sorry for asking, but what beta, the developer version or public beta? Thanks in advance if you ever come back here, cheers!

  4. I’ve just come back onto the public beta with the iPad Air 5. The difference between public beta 1 and 4 is like night and day. The first public beta required numerous device resets until I got so frustrated I simply abandoned it and reverted back to 15. But now I’m using beta 4 and wondering if I’ll ever really need my MacBook Air again…I was DESTROYING my to do list with the iPad and universal control, but I love the idea of being able to do it all (as a teacher) with just one device.

  5. Those games just have to update for multitasking support. They’re just not made to be used in non-fullscreen. What I have noticed with this beta is that cursor lock now works with the external monitor and with the new Minecraft cursor support I can finally play it on the monitor with a mouse and the iPad!

  6. I really feel like this is the future. This is why I always come back to Apple, Samsung Dex has been around for a few years now, but has definitely hit its peak and they don’t seem to be updating it as much.
At least Apple has a roadmap to say I can see this stage manager becoming my number one workflow companion in the very near future

  7. I’m going to wait for the public release. In any event it should make my 12.9 M1 more interesting to use than it already is

  8. Hi, is anyone using public beta 5 (I think that’s the latest?), is it more stable or only the dev beta as the public version is always 2 betas behind? I tried with beta 2 and 4, I wonder if now is less buggy to try for work

  9. What about using non ipad app like Instagram on stage manager? Do they work ?

And another think I am curious is sharing screen.. with stage manager on, do we get to choose which displays to broadcast?

Can we choose which window or app broadcast while using other on stage ? manager ?

  10. Can you please do a video with the current iPad mini with the iPadOS current beta using an external monitor? Thank you so much!

  11. I don’t mind waiting longer for ipadOS 16.1 to be released. Just hope the new update will be stable, especially the stage manager

  12. Does the iPad iOS 16 offer split screen for all apps now? Currently iOS 15 allows app developers to restrict if the app can be split screened or not. Thanks

  13. I feel like they should’ve just released iPadOS 16.0 for all the iPad users, like myself, who won’t be getting Stage Manager. It’s useless to delay an update for a feature we won’t even be getting, and it’s not like Apple Hasn’t pushed out updates for specific devices before. They could easily push out 16.0 for Non-M1 iPads and wait to update the M1 Models until 16.1 releases.

  14. Since installing iPadOS 16.1 (20B5045d), I have been having experiencing more bugs than I ever have. I joined the public beta for my last 2 iPad Pros and really never had any problems worth mentioning until now. Sometimes I can’t swipe up to get to another window or to even get to the Home Screen. I have to do a split screen to reach the Home Screen, and then unless where I want to go is on the first page, I can’t swipe left or right to get to it. I have to do a search to get where I want to go. Same thing with apps grouped together. I can’t swipe left to see more. Has anyone else reported these problems?
